When using GTO wizard to study the AJo hand my outputs are different, is shows almost only small check raises on the flop and 50-100% bets on turn with only a small amount of over bets. Is there a reason my outputs are different?

Hi Lex, I would be VERY interested in the hand breakdown @ 16:05. RomanHLD is a beast. I don't understand his call with ATo w/ Th. Surely he'd a) not want a heart and b) not want a Ten, as it blocks some of your bluffs (T9, T8 etc). We didn't see preflop action but what's the cutoff point for him to make the call? Would he call A8o? Would he call 22? Very curious if anyone has any input. TY

    1. Blind vs. Blind the ranges are so so so wide. 2. Lex leads turn for 75% pot, a very large sizing on an extremely wet board. 3. River comes a 3 promoting any hand with a five in it to a straight. However, flush bricks out. Lex bets river for 75% sizing again. His range becomes very polarized when he goes big like this for two streets. His only value hands that make sense are Fours Full, Sevens Full or maybe 5 7 of hearts that became a straight. That's not many hands. On the other hand, his bluffs can be any missed hearts, Eight Nine, random broadway cards etc. He's not betting one pair hands this way so A 10 becomes a pretty strong bluff catcher especially considering that Lex doesn't have any AJ+ in his range, as those would likely 3-bet blind vs blind. I think Lex just messed up this hand. He shouldn't really have any large sizings like this in his range constructions after checking flop. If you're going to have a flop check check then turn bet, river bet, line on such a wet board, I think the solvers will much prefer a small turn sizing, and perhaps a small or medium sized river bet. This allows your bluffs to be conducted more cheaply, and makes it easier to get called when you have value. It also allows you to value bet wider (with trip sixes in this case for instance) and prevents your opponent from being able to profitably bluff-catch as much. Small turn and river sizings would have put much more pressure on A 10 as it'll almost appear as milking, especially on a four card straight board. I just think overall the line looked very fishy and enticed a call.

@@fedorholt6491 thanks man - I really appreciate your input here. You've helped me conceptualise how turn/river sizings translate to value combos and given thr narrow value range for that size vs all the bluffs Lex can have, ATo becomes a much more attractive call. Thanks pal

Yeah it’s a weird spot… I probably end up calling as well but feel pretty neutral about folding. It’s usually gonna be a hand like AJ, QQ-AA that is committing itself/denying equity and has a lot of shitty turns so just punts it in. Maybe AQ sometimes as a bluff.

because in spots like this, when you raise, you are polarised to bluffs and very strong hands. (not saying Lex will be balanced here ever with his current leaks). A small raise doesn't achive anything, you don't get paid enough when they bluff catch you, and you actually have the strong hand. And your bluffs (regardless of how few there might be here) lose value.
