I tried to get the lyrics as a German and I'm glad I got the most of it like you ;-) Just some annotations: I think she's singing of a "wayfaring stranger" (since I googled the lyrics first and I found a similar song called "Wayfaring stranger") who is out "to troubles and trials to find" (I don't know if that makes sense though). And I think she's seeing "the old ship drawing nearer" - a reference to Charon from greek mythology, who ships the Dead into Hades across the river Styx. - Which clearly makes sense to me. How about your thoughts?

Clementine started as a helpless little girl protected by a kind hearted man, then she turned in to a badass protecting a child like she was, it ended like it started

These games will always be in my heart. Telltale is legend, have to pay respect to Skybound tho. They came trough in a big way, regardless of your opinions about the writting etc. They finished it when none else would or could or even cared too. @@qurokee4174 Skybound have said that The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series won't be continued. The Walking Dead: The Final Season is intended to be the Last Entry in the Series. Skybound have said that there will probably be games based on The Walking Dead brand in the future, but the Telltale Series itself has met it's conclusion. Skybound won't be developing any future games either, they are not a game developer, they do not have a Dev Team, so game development isn't really possible, they'll be looking to continue publishing titles from Indie Developers, like Slime Rancher from Monomi Park and so on

Laura is Kent's friend. A week before telltale shut down she was pitching something to them for a song for e4 and she said to Kent "nothing weird is gonna happen right?" and Kent replied "of course not, it's a big company. It's not like they'd shut down next week!" and then telltale shut down. Luckily skybound came through and brought all the people who worked on the season back, including Laura. This is a beautiful cover and a great end to episode 3.

Clem has been through so much at such a young age. And we’ve see her whole journey. I’m so happy she finally found a family in the final season. She deserved that and so much more.

I know right? It's so beautiful. Some people say they'd like to have a season 5 or whatever, and sure, we'd all love that; but a part of me is just so content with this ending. After so much struggle, so much running, our Clem finally found a home. She found friends. She found love. She finally got the happy ending that she always deserved. And that's just... so perfect. :)

I didn't ever worry about disliking AJ. He's Clemetine's son, so how bad could he have been.

We were all in Lee’s shoes. We all hated the cannibals We all cried for duck. We were shocked when Clem went missing We shed tears when Lee got bit We all balled our eyes out when Lee died We all were overjoyed when we found Kenny We all felt empty when one of our closest friends went under the ice. We all swore we would protect AJ. We all felt safe at the school. We felt betrayed when we were kicked out. We all felt badass fighting off the raiders. We saved our friends. We watched a friend die Old emotions were dug out from beneath the deep story and events Clem went through, and the game felt complete. It was an awful, wonderful, fulfilling ending to a sires we all deeply cared about. Thank you TellTale for delivering this masterpiece before your shutdown. RIP Telltale.

2:19 - 2:40 is my favourite part! Jared and Laura did an exceptional job with "I Am A Poor Pilgrim of Sorrow"! It is one of my favourite Credit Songs!

I love this song because it has so many interpretations (and being the walking dead) like how she says she is striving to make heaven her home she could mean she is trying to find a way to die honorably in a fight or she is trying to do good deeds throughout her life so when she finally dies she will go to heaven.

Such an amazing song. One of the best ones from the entire series. The tone fits that final season vibe so well. As the title implies, the tone is really sorrowful and fits just so perfectly with the atmosphere. I can’t stop listening to this song. So beautiful. The series is missed by many. 2012-2019 - Telltale’s The Walking Dead.

This music always give me goosebumps and fills my eyes with tears. Perfect choice for this emotion driven game series. Not sure if there will be another game like this, where most of the characters are so well written that you make a bond with almost every on of them. An unique gem of the game industry, and it was a shame that such a poor management almost ruined it by being incompetent and greedy after the success of the first season. And it's a crime that when they had the budget for S2 and 3, the CEO's made the key people, devs, writers flee because of their pighead behaviour, yet they still manage to pull out a decent sequel, but making a mediocre third season. This final season had so much more potential, if they wouldn't be tight on money and time. At least it shows that if there is a determined team behind a game, who's working on it from their heart, they can still make a mind blowing, emotional adventure game even if everything is against them.

as the sunset in the west and the world went from bright to twilight the gloomwalker marched on through the golden world during magic hour into the impending darkness of night .

Take Us Back is on Spotify, as for I Am A Poor Pilgrim of Sorrow and In The Pines, I'm not sure why other than the artists maybe not wanting them there? Those two songs are in public domain, but I'm not sure why The Walking Dead versions aren't there. As for the remainder, Anadel removed In The Water and Remember Me, and Waiting Around To Die is still on Spotify I think, along with Grim Ranger

If you survived in the walking dead world you wouldn’t be allowed in heaven. That’s the irony of the song

3:06 I feel as if this part of the song was supposed to hint the original ending that was cut. Where Clementine would have found a ship with a crew. Then the boarding school kids and clem would have traveled back to her town.

The singer sounds a lot like annapantsu - especially during the "Deliverance" part.

Lilly is hardly going to travel back with a big group, the Delta is gone, they needed reinforcements, they were unsuccessful, and as Lilly said, they'd lose the war without reinforcements. And why would we travel back to Richmond? What's the reason behind it? There's no real reason as it is a warzone, why risk the groups safety by going back? Clementine has found her own home in Ericson's Boarding School. As for Christa, she is most likely dead, and the caravan group is ambiguous, not a hint towards another Season. If you want more Clementine, feel free to write fan fiction, because there won't be a Season Five

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR EPISODE 4: I finally finished the entire series yesterday, after discovering it was on game pass a month or so ago. Certainly one of the most beautiful, emotional narratives ever constructed in a game. I was so attached to the characters, it's difficult to accept that Clem's story only continues in our imagination now. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I completed Take Us Back last night, it's stuck in my head... :') Also I absolutely fucking cried during the barn scene. I always thought Clem was invincible, that she was the only girl the walkers could never touch; so when she was bitten I was stunned. I was happy beyond words when I heard the "What're you doing there, goofball?" I don't think it'll leave my mind for a good long while. What a narrative, what a series. Wow. Just wow. :)

I chose to let lily survive, I tried being friendly towards her cause that’s how my Clem is. But she still was a badass in my game too! I also didn’t want AJ to be evil, killing is wrong, zombie apocalypse or not it’s still wrong.

Jack Sapsford Pluck the open A string followed by the Am chord, but pluck the strings in Am instead of strum, you may have to add some accents on the Am chord but it’s fairly easy to get. Just open your first finger and lower your third finger onto the b string. I hope that makes sense

Not really, it's more so telling of a constant struggle for, as the song describes, the "Wayfaring Stranger", who seeks to find peace, Laura's interpretation of heaven, which is described as a place of happiness and fulfillment of wishes, is, to the "Wayfaring Stranger", in the form of a home, a place of belonging where we relate to people we consider family, and how the "Wayfaring Stranger" will continue to fight and fight until she makes heaven her home. To tie this into Clementine, since Day 1, she has been seeking a family, and a place to call home with said family, the School itself was the best place to call home, she was with people her age, she was respected, she was cared for, she had friends. Clementine has been involved in a constant struggle since Day 1, so she fits the lyrics. Throughout the song, the lyrics themselves show great determination in ensuring that the end goal is achieved, so I don't really look at the song as a dying song, I look at it more as a reflection of everything that's happened, from The Walking Dead: Season One, Episode 1, "A New Day", all the way up to The Walking Dead: The Final Season, Episode 3, "Broken Toys", it's acknowledging that it's all built up to this point, and that the fight to make Ericson's Boarding School a home, while it will be full of challenges, will be fought until it's established as a home. I look at the song as a hopeful, optimistic one that does take note of the tragedies that came before, but looks to the future for things to become better

I didn't like it, personally. Clementine should have died because she got bitten. Lee, a full grown man died because of it, even though he cut his arm. But that's not the only hole in the story.

@Meher Chaithanya "Just like Abel" Excuse me? But no, there is no evidence about anything you said. Clementine is still a kid, so it should work different with kids, waiting a day as a kid should be functionally similar to waiting a week as a full grown man (just like alcohol, DUH). Also Minerva is a great example of story bending to gameplay. There is absolutely no way anyone could have been bitten and still live that much and also be able to shoot and do all that stuff. They're not Terminators, they're kids. Experience doesn't give you superpowers.
