+WarmSoftKitty It's not a majority in where I'm from. If nurses did that, they'd get instant probation in my private company. That's probably facts from public healthcare sources, but they didn't cover the fact that nurses working in private companies are the most decent workforce assembled. So lesson learned. Get healthcare in private companies, if your willing to pay extra for efficiency. Public healthcare is strained, you should never go to one if you seek high quality service.

Whether I am having surgery, testing, blood work, or just a check up, nurses have always been wonderful to me. In addition to all the medical things that they do, they have always comforted me, joked with me, cared about my pain, brought me a warm blanket, and were kind in more ways than I can count. Respect and love to all you nurses!

Just had a horrible shift and was looking for videos to cheer me up and remind me why I got into the career. THANK YOU! I am a proud nurse!

When I 18 I was a contractor at memorial Hermann woodlands, ( I still have my badge ) . I use to watch nurses walk by smiling and happy , I love watching them help patients and greet them and treat them with kindness. My inspiration started at that very location. I am working hard trying to get into nursing school to finally live my dream working as a RN , I look forward to working at memorial Herman soon!

11 more months before I graduate from nursing school. It's such an honor to be in nursing and I am thankful for every moment of it.

I just graduated and started my real job. I also just lost my first patient to a cardiac arrest. It's been such a journey, and I still love it.

I've been a nurse for 23 years this is a beautifull tribute to nurses thank u❤❤❤

I became a nurse because it's the perfect and most logical way for me to combine my love for science and medicine with my love for helping others when they are at their worst. I get to actually advocate and make important things happen for patients. I love to see people recover and improve. I love to learn. And most importantly I can't imagine doing anything else.

Nursing is at the heart and soul of me, I've been touched by nurses

42 years and have never regretted my decision to be a nurse.

I love it. I am a nurse assistant and I really love it very much that I wish to be a physician sometimes but Nursing is great. You have to feel good with people to really love the profession of Nursing.

Nurse since 1980 & still working, because of the worst nursing shortage in history. I am a nurse 24/7, and cannot stop myself. Hermann Memorial ROCKS!! It would be THE only reason I would even consider living in Houston. I have sent many people there over the years, when they ask my opinion on what hospitals I recommend.

Nursing is far from easy. However it’s worth it imo, there are SO many different things you can do with a nursing degree! However if you’re in it for the money- don’t do it. You won’t be happy! But if you’re someone who leads with integrity, an empathetic heart, and is willing to be a leader for those who can’t speak, or understand the complexity of health - then go for it. The sky is the limit. 8 years and in I’m thankful I pushed through. 🎉❤ cheers to the nurses who do it for their patients- nurses who know what it’s like to be on the other side of the bed! Treat your patients with uncommon compassion. Build up the next generation of nurses!

I think the hardest part of being a nurse is not just the physical exhaustion. It is how much emotionally involved you get with the patients,it is the greatest burden of all times,but at times it is very rewarding.

Being a nurse is simple...Try being a Caregiver....You dont get to go home away from work...You have to deal with it 24/7....Being a Nurse you depend on the Doctor to TELL YOU WHAT TO DO....When your a caregiver you depend on your training at 1:00 in the morning to get you through the night! You need Doctors to tell you what to do and your training is insignificant.....When you get to think for yourself then you can pat yourself on the back!
