I may be late to this party but... is the custom plate you got has grooves in the mounting part, slot for the "o-ring" strips?

Which of the current plates that geon sells would be the most similar to the v1 plate?

Not a big TKL fan myself, so naturally I was excited about the prospect of buying Zakus for cheaper, haha, gonna have to check out the Geon Black switches

Andy I've heard word from mouth that some alu plates versions in the f1 sounds better than other alu plates. If you know can you tell me which one because Im buying an f1 and I want the best sound out of it because Im using it as my daily driver and endgame. Thank You!

How you learn so fast typing ? I noticed something. Spacebar sound is always different. Some sound bright on one side and dark on the other. It's frustrating. Even though they are 2 of the same. I can't get that sound you have there. It always sounds different. And worst of all some spacebar caps don't fit tight enough. Can you press out if you press sideways. What are you supposed to do there?

I just practiced a lot and read ahead when I type. The wire is probably an issue. And what keycaps are you using? You should not be able to pop the keycap off from pressing from the side. Maybe keycap is loose on stem

@@AndyVNguyen Thanks for your answer. Ah okay very nice. At the moment I have the GMK Honor on it. But the cap from the Bento Keycap Set is popping off. No, you were right on it. I have no idea why some do it that way.

You mentioned that Plateless on the 7V saves the board, do your claims of plateless in this video apply to the 7V as well or just the F1 boards?

every keyboard is different. don't take one statement from one keyboard and apply it to another. the f1 plateless is executed mechanically with little clips on top of o rings. the 7v is pcb gasket mounted.

Plateless is so fun. I have a Leviatan R0 from Laminar and it’s literally the most fun board I’ve ever typed on. The only thing is the 9 degree angle can be rough sometimes. Also plateless spacebars hit like a truck

Man, their combo with the alu plate and mx black is so sweet.

@@AndyVNguyen TGR does not sell Alu plate for the Jane v2 ME. I have to download the plate file from TGR and cut an alu plate by a workshop service in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the result is a hollow and unbearable sound. Not sure if the alu sounds bad by itself with Jane V2 ME or because of the alu quality in the workshop :(

19 isn't bad, but there is LOW like geon frog's 16.5mm

@@AndyVNguyen oh WOW that's low! Never realised they made them like that. You mentioned in your tier video that the frog mini's not a great board because it's too low, would it be fine with thicker bumpons? I do like the look of it but not sure if it's _endgame_ and don't want to keep buying boards that aren't it! 😅 Thought Unikorn might finish off the collection, plus not many reviews of frog mini from what I can see

Nothing wrong with frog mini other than the fact that I already own a unikorn so I never grab the frog mini. It’s not too low. I just got used to the 19-20mm height now
