I almost REGRETTED offering to clean this up at NO COST! So much GRASS!

I'm back at this place to take care of the overgrown backyard for this high school teacher.
See the front yard video here • I saved her OUT OF CON... .
If you are interested in any of the equipment I'm using, check out my new page Turf and Tools / @turfandtools where I review equipment that I am sent and use. If you'd like to send something for me to show, send me an e-mail timthelawnmowerman@gmail.com
Hi! My name is Tim The Lawnmower Man and I love to clean up overgrown yards and make fun videos doing it. I'm able to do them for free as these videos have ads on them and the revenue from that enables me to cover my cost.
I'm always looking for the worst yards around. Sometimes I drive around looking for them, sometimes viewers send me suggestions.

For as long and thick as that grass was it seemed to cut pretty easily without laying over or bogging the mower down. Maybe because it was so dry. I'm sure you regretted it while you were in the middle of it but then changed that regret to satisfaction once you saw the results. What a great service you provided for someone in need of an angel like you. Great job as always, not only with the yard but with your act of charity.

Glad you were able to mow this really overgrown area and were lucky it was neither wet or strewn with clutter. It should grow back and be beautiful, manageable. The space is back, the yard is usable again and the clothesline available. Very nice you found a nearby place that could take clippings and impressed you also recovered a patio.

What amazes me about the gardens in Australia is that there never seems to be rocks and stones. That wouldn’t be the case in South Africa. That stuff would kill most equipment as you never know what’s hidden under / in the grass.

The lawns in these videos are in suburban Sydney. There isnt going to be rocks as they would of used top soil to cover them in these developments. Head out of the suburban areas you get heaps of rocks and more annoyingly gum-nuts. A country more then 7 times bigger then south Africa is going to have some variation in lawns

Once kikuyu gets past a certain height or thickness there's no chance going at it with a regular home mower. That can be a matter of mere weeks in a good growing season. And the cost of a commercial cleanup on a school teacher's wages... understandable.
