I'm a 65-year-old man that didn't understand why people liked freestyle rap. It always seemed broken up and made no sense. That was until I ran into his Omega Bar sessions three years back on KZread. I have been a complete fan ever since and have turned my thinking around. This is the way it should have been from the start.

@@tarantulamadness6191 try watching 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' with Wayne Brady who improvises many styles on the American show, mostly. Harry's mum got him to watch it when he was young and it inspired him to reach these heights. Chris Turner is good too but he's more of a comedian so it's a bit different.

​@@jaysmythe154 Wayne Brady does improvised songs sure he can find rhymes or tell stories to a beat and make it be funny. but there's not much world play or anywhere near the speed at which rap is usually at. everyone has parodied a song as kids changing the worlds to make it silly but tying those words together in a non-surface level way is different. Wayne is great and i'm sure Mack would agree but Mack has vastly surpassed what Brady can do.

@@emarin2006ftw Wayne Brady was one of my favourite freestylers on Sway in the morning even though he is not a rapper. Wayne Brady is a great performer and has impeccable delivery plus he inspired Mack the Great. Wayne is also a very nice person like Mack. Gotta pay Brady his dues.

Even if he wasn’t rhyming, Mack is a great conversationalist. He can riff off any topic and make it interesting. He’s observant of his surroundings and empathetic to the people he is conversing with. That alone is enough for greatness, but then he takes things steps further.

I believe this last freestyle is Harry's best I've heard (13:50). Everything was just flowing perfectly. Varying cadences, multi-contexting the same word, seamlessly pulling from visual cues, rhyming multiple words in a row to reach the main word, spitting acapella. Incredible. This is the rhyme I'd use to explain Harry Mack.

Record shop is #1 honestly. That needs to be trimmed into a music video. Just totally epic.
