Yeah they make it seems so easy but when you've been surfing for a long time you know that it's terrifying out there. One of my bucket list is to surf pipeline at least once when it's relatively small. I love to see people getting so pumped up in Hawaii after surfing on my home island has been forbidden for so long because of continuous deadly shark attacks (Reunion Island).

I could almost feel the ocean breeze from ova here in Central Illinois. Riding through the barrell POV after having you describe Koa the wind and the wave sensation...🤙 To tensing with the image of seeing Koa drop into an air death drop shocker. 😧 And those are just the off the top of my head thoughts of gratitude I wanted to express to you Koa for sharing the Aloha with us. We are in almost complete lockdown in the UK. But we are still allowed out to exercise solo once a day (just had to miss my first trip to the European mountains of the year ‘cos virus). Buy cycling is still my saviour. I am the world’s worst surfer(tm), but your videos are truly appreciated here. Your honesty too. I know after a whole season of cycling, I reach a point where my body and brain just says: no, stop, rest. Take it easy everyone.

Glad you're ok, bro. You and the crew are making history right now. It's like watching Gerry Lopez, Rory Russell, and Jeff Crawford, times 30 with the crew you guys have.

Enjoy the grind... and good things will come eventually, but stay thankful for getting to push your mind and your body and being able to pursue your passion because that’s what living is.

Every time I hear you saying "this could be the last swell of the season" it makes me feel like when those people that after an exam they say "it went really bad..." but then they get an A+.

Would be dope for you to talk about navigating that lineup...Seems insane with so many people on the peak. And sitting out there for 2 hours and catching one wave, is that because of the lineup or being super selective?
