Hinted spoilers Sukuna saw potential in megumi's ten shadow technique after seeing it himself (ep 5). He needs megumi to improve the technique enough to make a vessel for him since he failed to take over completely of yuuji's body. S'why he highkey cheers for megumi everytime he shows improvements.

Also the manga is fantabulous I would read it first to get your own view and version of how they said things and then see what the voice actors did. It’s seriously good like the best word for it is fantabulous (my favorite word in the english language 😌)
