Paid 2400 at Costco, with extended warranty, free delivery, install, hoses and haul away. My laundry is upstairs, so it was hard on the delivery guys, because it's so heavy. The mobile app that comes with it makes things so convenient as it allows you to monitor and control the machine remotely.

That's not bad. I got the same deal for $2199 from Best Buy during Black Friday. I hope you tipped the delivery guys, it's super heavy for a second floor. How are you liking it so far?

@@UltratecJSI did. I even had to help them because they only sent two guys, when they were supposed to send 4. We definitely like it. We noticed that it cleans better and more efficiently when you do no more than 10-15 lbs of clothes per wash, which is what GE recommends.

@@UltratecJS that’s true not being cheap . I like the concept of not needing a separate dryer. I did talk with a representative from GE about the product she said the machine doesn’t use much electricity on average about $16 dollars a year . That’s just a rough guess. It could depend on how much wash a person does. & the utility rates are.

@@UltratecJS that’s good to know. I was told the spin speed was 1,300 rpm which is good leaving your laundry almost dry. My current washer tops out right at 900 to a 1,000 rpm spin speed. It’s a Bosch I bought new way back in 06 & never had no issues & still working today. Although it doesn’t have none of the fancy stuff. It gets the job done. Better than going to a laundromat. I took notice at laundromat they have raised prices. I

Unfortunately, my experience has been bad with the combo. Bought the combo 8 months ago and I'm on my 5th technician visit. The major repairs have involved a motherboard replacement due to the machine going dead. Next, the entire heat pump assembly failed. The product is so new the technicians have never seen it or been trained on it. Keep in mind, the 10 year limited warranty only covers the motor. There is only a 1 year warranty on the rest of the parts such as the motherboard and heat pump.

I'm sorry to hear that Tom. This machine is definitely heavy and it's easy for these machines to get damaged just in transport and delivery. I hope they're able to help you and don't turn their back on you. My machine is on three months and running smoothly so far(knock on wood).

Is a 7 inch riser a requirement or is it optional accessory? For the GE Profile combo Machine.

How does it work to dry at a 50° room temperature or if you placed it in a cold basement?

  • @UltratecJS

That should be no problem at all. The top of the machine gets a little hot and being in a 50 degree basement is definitely acceptable.

The whole drying environment is sealed.. The air is circulated internally (saving the heat).. It passes damp hot air over cold coils that condensate the water which is pumped into the drain.. I just bought this myself. The only issue that it has is the filter area needs special care so that the coils do not get dirty.. I am buying a special brush set to clean out the area where the lint filter is. I love it so far - there is a learning curve as the clothes feel wet when they come out but they are just "humid" .. After you take the clothes out and shake them, they feel dry almost immediately... I have a family of six and it's keeping up just fine and using a LOT less energy and water than a normal top load and electric dryer..

Do you do a quick shake after taking the clothes out? That works great for us. You can also do the More Dry or DeWrinkle option which will add an extra 15-20 minutes of drying.
