Very neat history lesson. I get interested in stuff like this especially when driving on it for hundreds of miles. My wife and I are from Illinois and come to Colorado every year via I-80 to I-76 and then I-70. We were just there last week and visited Grand Junction for a possible retirement location and loved it. We also drove to Kingman AZ via I-70 and then South through Utah. As life long Illinois flat landers, the mountain scenery and rock formations never fail to put us in awe every time we come there. I hope the people of Colorado appreciate the beauty and over 300 days of sun shine they get in most parts unlike Illinois where we're lucky to get half that. Interesting to note that the realtor we worked with in GJ said everyone is upset due to property taxes increase however when I explained that the same size home in Illinois would be triple for what Colorado home owners pay, her jaw dropped. Illinois is now officially at the very top of the worst most boring, over taxed state to live in.
As always, you have a very cool post up here, ScrewdUP. Love the photography, the informative commentary, and the music is way cool. You inspired us with your Glenwood Canyon post from some years ago to visit that area of Colorado in 2019, thank you for that. And keep on trucking!! PS: I loved your last comment on this video. It occurred to me that I have driven the entire length of I-70 at one time or another, from a '72 VW Beetle to a Dodge Caravan, to whatever in between. You bring back many great memories, thank you!
Good job with all the history of this stretch of road, it definitely is an interesting drive in person.
Outstanding.Thank you.
Great work on this! Tons of information to take in along the ride, very well researched. You've done I-70 in Colorado much justice.
I drove through this area in July 2011, overwhelming views if you're not used to driving that far west. I'm drove out from KCMO to Las Vegas Nevada.
One of the best videos I have ever seen, haven't been out that far in almost 10 years, it feels like i'm looking at a completely different world than I got used to (desert sand vs. trees)
AWESOME! There were times when I felt as though I was riding a roller coaster. Beautiful job with the historical information as we cruised along. Thanks for letting me know about this.
Excellent! Tons and tons of research on this, and it shows...a lot of great information in this. Another excellent documentary and road video.
We also need an award for excellence in highway filmography.
Very informative! I'll be driving this route on a 4000 km road trip I'm doing in 2015.. (I'm from New Zealand) Many thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos, they're fantastic :)
Great video. Who is stupid enough to give a thumbs down on this? Geeze they are brainless. Great music too! I've been to Rabbit Valley a few times. I love that stretch of I-70.
Absolutely well done!! your best work overall and I'm sure you are very proud of it .. " El Valle del Conejo " I definitely want to go there :))
Good Stuff 👍😀
Fantastic job!! You put a lot of work into this video and it shows! I can't wait to see what's next.
Nice ride, well researched and great production.

you always have the best videos. Thanks for this series. Make more series of different states! 10/10
i live in grand junction and i lived in moab for over 30 years i remember when they built this freeway, it cut the trip by 30 minutes and saved countless lives, that river road was brutal.
Great video! Loved the background.
I was a boy when they put all this through. I lived out on G road and it was a short bike ride to go see the construction.
Yes! Like a boss!
10/10 magnifique
Great video. What video editing program were you using to add the signage? Loved the history and inclusion of the exits, miles, and elevation. Did you google image the signs or add recreate them?
Can't get a damn connection to the internwet this afternoon since my old man cut off the internet bandwith to save on costs!
I wonder how fast that would be
after 4 seconds the video crashes, go figure, KZread is fucked in murikkka
