This isnt a brag, but im pretty fantastic at dark souls games. Ive beat them all in lvl 1 runs. Its just ive played them alot, its more sad than a flex. But js they are easy to me now. Somehow THIS game was not easy though, at all. Maybe its because i was never a parry guy in souls i like to dodge roll, and this game borderline requires almost complete mastery of parry timing for every goofy move a boss does. But.. it took like 50 tries some of these bosses. Still, love the game. Best souls game that isnt a souls game, imo.

Play elden ring brotha... lies is fire no doubt loving it. But elden ring may be the best game ever made and I'm not being hyperbolic at all. The content the music the graphics the story. Just perfect. Souls likes are hard though. And lies of p is definitely not the easiest of em.

I’ve only ever platinumed 2 games this one and elden ring the only reason why is by the time I checked how many trophies I had I only needed like 3-4 and I just needed a few items unlike some games where you need to collect 500 different collectibles I dont even try but souls plats are pretty easy you pretty much just play the game normal and you get 95 percent of everything

NG+ is essential IMO. The upgrades make life much easier and being able to read puppet talk adds so much to the story. Going into it i didn't think I'd want to do it to get the Platinum but wow was it worth it.

Totally agree! The ability to understand what the puppets are saying added so well to the story. That’s one thing I wanted to go over in this vid but didn’t feel like it aided much in the story of getting the Platinum so I left it out.

I didn't know about the nameless puppet on my first play through. So on my second I got surprised when I got to fight him. I legit died over 100 times lmao. Now I gotta fight him again on NG+2 for the final achievement. But I'm better now lol

It’s not hard to platinum it’s just takes time which I really do appreciate because there is some trophies where they have multiplayer trophies, and those are the absolute worst it would be hard if they had a trophy that said some crazy thing like be at the game in four hours or do not get hit by any bosses if those were trophies, I would tell the game to fuck completely off these are just fun. You can do most of them your first play through and I really love it.

Agreed, my only gripe with the trophy hunt overall was the 3 endings because tbh one of them was basically just a re-tread of another. I think take away the potential for a 3rd playthrough and the difficulty drops way down if you’re competent enough at the fighting mechanics. Still really, really fun!

I guess im just G.O.A.T.ed at this game or something since I beat the entirety of chapter 1 deathless including the parade master and I already almost have the platinum (this was also my first Soulslike)

I did it a few days ago, but I still want to play. What a game! NG++ right now

I really loved this game when i was younger i played dark souls 1 and after that i did not played any other soulsgame until elden ring and completed all the achivment and while i wait for the elden ring dlc in played this game and holy, i loved it iam really hope theres a dlc for it, i completed the rise of p ending on my first play and just because i wanted to have the best ending on my saved file i completed all the achivments and then completed the game again so i was able to get the best ending. Iam really happy to see other people enjoy the game

But all fantastic games. Elden ring was easily the best in my opinion. Sekiro is also an amazing game by fromsoftware. It has a parry system very similar to this one but a little more refined. I think it’s definitely the most challenging out of all of fromsoftwares titles tho👀

This is also the first soulslike I’ve platinumed immediately after beating it the first time. It’s such a fun, quick run. I’ve platinumed all the FROM games, but definitely not right away.

Congrats on the platinum. I did 3 playthroughs because I loved the game and the whole concept. Also as someone who has 1000+ hours in fromsoftware and none fromsoftware souls-likes, this is easily the hardest of all the souls-likes I've played. Unless you abuse throwables then it's the easiest by far 😂

It was my first souls-like and I am on Chapter 10 in ng+ I don't know if I'll make it to 100% 😂 Some of the Elite enemies have had me tied up longer than the actual bosses

Lowkey the elite enemies often ended up being more of a pain than the early bosses. End game bosses (specifically Laxasia and Nameless Puppet) were rough for me.

@ItzSweetTrav Manus was harder for me than Laxasia, but NP was definitely rough, especially with no capability of a specter. The Black Rabbit Brotherhood is always hard for me and because I made some mistakes in my first playthrough, I need to at least start a ng++ and get the boss ergo from the first 2 bosses. I may do a cloud save and give him my heart and then refuse in ng++ so I only have to do the 2 full playthroughs. I was glad to see I wasn't the only one that used a lot of throwables lol.

The Lies of P platinum is easier and less time consuming than any of the FROM platinums, except Elden Ring. DS3 is the real grind. Awesome game, though. Great job on the plat. Do some Dark Souls next.

@@ItzSweetTrav It's just grindy. There are a lot of achievements locked behind Covenants. The necessary items are usually PVP rewards. The alternative to that is farming specific mobs with extremely low drop rates for Covenant items. That's where most of the time goes. Also, getting all the rings is a chore. But I loved it and DS3 is an amazing game.

I think for games that companies know are going to be more difficult like this, Elden Ring, etc. they understand that not everyone playing the game will be an absolute demon so rather than putting more challenging & grindy trophies they let the game be the challenge/grind. I don’t mind it personally

I have 2 left. Both will happen when I beat the nameless puppet. Who I am stuck on on ng++. If your starting out beat him the first playthrough. He was easy on ng+. But on ng++ it just flat out sucks..you have to beat him twice to get all the trophies. Had I know this I wouldn't of bailed in rd 1.

I thought it was pretty easy to 100% all achievements. And I almost never do that for Souls games because of how hard it is to get them and how easily even a minor mistake can screw you over and force you to wait for another NG+. This can be done rather easily in 2 playthroughs with save scumming for the endings. 3 if you don't lie enough on your rise of p ending playthrough to get the golden lie weapon.

@@ItzSweetTrav Not saying the game itself is easy though. Just that platinum is relatively simple. Not a bad thing since I generally don't bother with 100% achievements. Give me too many dull tasks and I stop caring about full completion (while I'm also insane enough to grind levels/farm materials for 20+ hours in some games that have no achievements related to it).

@@ItzSweetTrav not really in my opinion, like where you need 30 of these and droprate is 5% per kill, took me alone 10 hours to farm just for a single weapon/ spell. in lies of p its enough to clear the game 3 times for all endings and you can do all the side stuff while you playing through that game. its not harder but it takes alot of time in darksouls

Lies of p is a breeze compared to lords of the fallen. Im sure the platinum percentage is gonna be extremely low for lords of the fallen. To much grinding and online requirements

Even if everything comes naturally a game that's littered with difficult boss fights that can in some cases take hours to beat (& re-play it 1-2 more times) individually isn't easy lmao

The Platinum for this game isn't hard to get you only need to play through 2 times to get everything.

It takes roughly 50 hours to get with 2 playthroughs against really difficult bosses, it's not easy. It isn't grindy but it's absolutely not easy.
