Dubbed?Are you guys serious?!😀 In my opinion, dubbing over the original audio track totally ruins the TV show or movie experience because the original voice is half of the actor's performance. Personally, I always want to watch foreign tv-shows and movies with subtitles and the original audio track playing. As a matter of fact, that is the only option because there aren't any dubbed TV shows or movies in my home country Finland, except for some children's movies and cartoons. And when I was a kid, the quality of dubbing into Finnish was often so poor that they've later become the subject of humor videos here on KZread.

@@nikke2404 I see where you’re going, but this show needs to be, at the very least, subtitled. The KZreadr doesn’t even need to make the subtitles - they can put on auto-translate.

@@FreddiePetrusewicz-ym9id Yes offcourse this show needs english subtitles but it's very time consuming job to put subs for 207 episodes... The pilot episode is subtitled to english though. Maybe somebody would translate the rest of episodes some day.

Valitettavasti minulla ei näitä enää lisää ole. Latasin youtubeen kaikki jaksot, jotka minulla VHS-nauhoilla oli. Toivotaan, että joku toinen voisi jatkaa tästä. Varmasti jollakulla näitä jaksoja arkistoissaan on.

Pitänee ymmärtää hieman historiaa ja sarjan ajan henkeä. Tyyne-hahmon tausta on rintamalottana, ja näin ollen on lähtöisin oletettavasti peruskristillisestä isänmaallisesta ns. "valkoisesta" (kansalaissodan osapuoli) perheestä. Kun katsoo enemmän sarjan jaksoja, käy ilmi, että hahmo on myös jonkinlainen kauneusalan yrittäjä, joka on elämänsä varrella kylvettänyt monia teollisuus-herroja, sekä hoidellut näiden puolisoiden hiuksia ja jalkoja. Tästä syystä samaistuu tähän porukkaan enemmän kuin vasemmistohenkiseen ammattiliitto-väkeen. Siis melko tyypillinen ns. perinteinen naispuolinen kokoomuksen äänestäjä.

It's sometimes hard to differenciate between racism and depicting racism. In the series, the latter was often the case. The writers intended to point out the prejudices towards women, gays and black people in the Finnish society in 1990s. You can see racism practised by Paukku, but often he is the one making himself ridiculous. Of course the series is a picture of its time and nowadays you would do such a series in a whole different way - including the way of presenting the minorities. The main point of the series was to satirize the Finnish way of making politics inofficially in saunas or bars, in order to benefit those with power and good networks. The series is very well done and funny and combines fact and fiction in a very charming way. It would be interesting to see something similar in television nowadays, but I guess no one dares to do it anymore.
