Many modern vehicles have a fuel tank module, where the pump, filter, sender unit and pressure regulator are part of a single unit or module. These take time to disassemble and replace the filter. Some mechanics choose to put this in the ‘too hard’ basket, instead of correctly following the manufacturers’ recommendations.
