Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We are driving, accelerating and looking at the Hyundai i20 N Performance. This small hot hatch is about what the Fiesta ST would have been if it had four cylinders. Hyundai comes along with a classic 1.6 litre turbo engine which develops 204 hp and 275 nm of torque. When in overboost its getting an extra seven-second-load of 30 nm. With a curb weight of 1190 kg it's not as heavy as the Fiesta ST and its front differential (performance package only) works as just good. Equipped with 215/40 R18 Pirelli tyres, the i 20N offers more stability than the Fiesta ST. Nevertheless it doesn't feel as spectacular.
The sound and performance of the Hyundai is brilliant. We achieved 1.1 g apex in typical corners under dry conditions, which is great for a car like this. A perfect car for the daily use of a sporty driver. It feels fast and, in corners, it really is. The rev match works perfectly, but, to our surprise, the gear brake feels very hard. The tranny is a lot of fun to shift, the engine offers a lot of torque very early and the front differential works perfectly. Even the rear axle is stiff enough to raise a leg at the back. Well done, Hyundai.
The bad things about the i20 N Performance are its brakes (better change to clubsport aftermarket) and the fact that it somehow copies the digital cockpit from Volkswagen. On the other side the Koreans made it a bit more modern and it looks even as good as in a german hot hatch. Another problem is the rear diffuser and the rear spoiler: both look cheap and don't really fit in.
We recommend this car for the ones who want to combine five doors with a lot of fun. In the three-door-section, the Fiesta ST is the catch.

If you really wanna go with it, you should upgrade to quality aftermarket discs and ferodo ds performance or ds 2500 pads. The smell was ok, still a bit chemical indeed. But way better than in older Kias and Hyundais.

@@et4633 You need to use track mode and find the rpm where it usually pops (somewhere around 3500-4000 rpm). Then you only repeat touching the pedal and take the foot back while going downhill. So the engine will run in and out gear brake over and over again. While going downhill in 2nd gear you should get the same result. ;-) Works with every car whether turbo or not. You just need to find the rpm and have an exhaust which pops a bit. Transmission and flywheel don't like this so much, so don't do it every day. ;-)

Our ideas: 8.5 litres for the i20 N, 10 litres for the i30 N. It is possible to drive calm and reach the fuel consumption manufacturers claim but these cars are made to have fun, not to save fuel with. It also depends on where you live: 7 litres in Holland is easy, 7 litres in Swiss is impossible.

@@lucabeels9840 Belgium is very flat and not urban at all. So 7 litres should be enough when daily driving it. 10 at the weekends. We recommend to drive any car like this with 100 ROZ+ to save some money. It's more efficient (lower consumption) and it saves you from a lot of problems in long term use.
