I've recently purchased one, great machine does the job brilliantly. Changing the cartridge is straightforward, you tilt the machine back on itself towards the handle, undo the four nuts and the cartridge slips out and the reverse for replacement to the other cartridge. The process is made easier if you can elevate it to gain better access to the cartridge.

Hi, thanks so much for your positive feedback and taking the time to comment. You won't be disappointed with this model.
Well just finished a 6 hours job on yet another big lawn every pass just blowed moss of onto my drive mutch faster and easier on your body ..still got 12 tunn bags of this lawn ..starting today on two small lawns . One thing I must say is don't be afraid of messing your lawn up as I think if your doing a thatch clear out make a mess once then seed and have a buetiful lawn 1 have bean doing 4 or 5 passes and there's not mutch left mostly 80 soil but I'm seeding well 👍💯🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 this is by far the best video out there ...thanks again

Great review - just finished my first session using this and it is a revelation. I've only just done a test patch and was amazed how easy it was to use and how light it felt to push (it feels lighter and easier to use than a self propelled Honda mower we have).

Great review and very informative. Can't wait to get going now! One question though, would you suggest cutting your lawn as low as possible before scarifying? Thank You
@hudaz1
Жыл бұрын
Cut it as short as possible before, helps get up more of the moss etc
@EasyLawnMowing
Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes it is always a good idea to cut the lawn short first before scarifying. You could also consider killing the moss first, to help prevent any spread. Please let me know how you get on. Mark
try hooking the rear flap up a little .it just allows the thatch to escape 👍

Very useful information - do the blades go deep enough for aeration or would I best to have a separate aeration machine? Thanks
@EasyLawnMowing
Жыл бұрын
Yes the blades do go deep enough for aeration, so no need for another machine as you have both the aeration and scarifier blades included. For full details see my review below easylawnmowing.co.uk/hyundai-hysc210-review-210cc-400mm-petrol-lawn-scarifier-aerator-push/ Hope this helps
Looks like you have put too much oil in there, there is a dipstick on the cap
Really useful as I’ve just bought this machine. Two questions - what rake do you use? And how often do you scarify? Steve
@EasyLawnMowing
Жыл бұрын
Hi Almond, the rake I use is the VonHaus 2 in 1 - 1800W lawn rake, link below easylawnmowing.co.uk/vonhaus-2-in-1-lawn-scarifier-1800w-electric-garden-rake-review/ Yesterday, I scarified the lawn for the first time this year, and will do it again in Autumn, so I scarify twice per year. Below is a link to my scarifying your lawn article, that may assist. easylawnmowing.co.uk/best-tips-for-scarifying-your-lawn/ Thanks Mark

In video you seem to imply scarifier attachment is successfully aerating thus obviating need fir aerator attachment. Is that right? If so does that mean aeration run will add negligible effect to what scarufuer has achieved?@@EasyLawnMowing
hello great review......how deep on the lowest setting would you say it actually goes into the soil with the aerator attachment? I know you said hyundai says 15ml but would you say it goes lower? THANKS
@EasyLawnMowing

Hi, Yes I would say 15mm is about right where the lawn is flat. Thanks
Well just used mine for the first time and cannot believe the amount of moss thatch that came out my lawn is about the same size as in this video and i removed 14 one tun bags yes 14 bags ...one thing i did find is if you have a big petrol blower use it as its mutch faster just blow to one end a little bit of raking ...i did 3 passes then seeded another six lawns to do 😢...please just bear in mind the amount of waste your goin to get ....BUT A FANTASTIC LITTLE MACHINE...you dont need a GYM when you do this job 😅😅😅

Great to hear Steve. Thanks for much for sharing your feedback of this machine. I am sure your lawn will benefit now you have removed so much moss and thatch. My lawn is looking extremely healthy after using a scarifier about 4 weeks ago. It is a great workout for sure. Thanks Mark
Hi, thanks for this great review. I've just bought this machine but I don't understand the difference between the two drums? Which one should I use? Thankyou!
@EasyLawnMowing
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Yes it can be a little confusing and there are also differences of opinion on what drum is for what purpose. In my opinion, I would use the raker (tines) for anything that is already dead and needs raking up from the lawn (where weed and moss killer has been applied for example). The blades can be used for thatch and an moss and to scarify deeper into the soil to aerate the lawn. In my video I just used the blades as I wanted to aerate the soil as well as rake up the thatch and moss. For more information you can read my article easylawnmowing.co.uk/best-lawn-aerators/ Hope this helps
Is there much involved in draining the oil and fuel to change blades? I'm assuming it's just a matter of tilting it on it's side and pouring the contents out.
@EasyLawnMowing
Жыл бұрын
Hi Alister. Yes that’s one way to do it. I invested in an oil syringe for mine. They are only around £10 and can be purchased on Amazon. Thanks

I have the cobra machine, looks the same as they are generic in this price range, I change blades without draining it or tipping sideways. Tip back and there is room to swap them out.

Yes don't need to drain oil fuel tip it back slightly
@Stevebriggs293

I've purchased one recently, no need to put the machine on its side for changing the cartridge, just tilt the machine back towards the handle, undo the four nuts and the cartridge slips out reverse process to replace with other cartridge. If you can do it on a slightly elevated surface, it'll give you easier access to the cartridge.
Do you put the moss and thatch on the compost heap?
@EasyLawnMowing
4 ай бұрын
I my opinion, as long as there are no chemicals and there is not too much moss, then it can be put on the compost. The moss does tend to take longer to break down. If there are large quantities of moss, then disposing in the council waste bin may be a better option, where it would burned.
Could you please tell me the footprint dimensions of the HYSC210 scarifier without the collector attached? I appreciate it might be a little odd question but I have very little storage room left in my garage.
@EasyLawnMowing
11 ай бұрын
Sorry I no longer have this to measure. The package size is 580 x 640 x 665 so this would be without the collector and handles folded down.
