Hytera VM780 LTE Body Worn Camera Review

The Hytera VM780 body worn camera is the latest addition to the Hytera body cam portfolio after the VM55D and the VM68X. For the first time introduced at PMRExpo 2019, this device (although a little bit late after the launch date) was sent to me by Hytera for review. Although I was not connected through a 4G network while testing the device, I could easily get a good idea of what this device is capable of.
It's a small, easy to handle and powerful body worn camera, equipped with a simple menu structure that everyone should understand immediately. The body worn camera is easy to operate, especially when you are in a critical situation. This is demonstrated by the 'record slider' on the back which is a great feature of this device.

Sadly as a person that has had personal experience with the new VM780, the audio quality from the camera is terrible! you can't hear a single thing and sadly the audio was critical in a recent incident and yet you couldn't hear anything, a simple gopro for $20 did a 500x better job at capturing audio evidence, Shame on Hytera for making such a costly product but skimping out on one of the most important areas on a Body Camera

@@GertJanWolf this is the one I want , it's better alternative for me that those gimiky gopro 1 hour cameras ,need a 4k video recording and touchscreen small camera with a 10 hour battery life .
I was hoping you would show test footage. That's the main point

@@GertJanWolf Well the footage you showed as b-roll, did you film that on the bodycam or just stock-footage?

@@Topic_____542 I have not filmed any footage with the bodycam for THIS video. B-Roll footage with police officers etc is stock footage. All of the other footage in the video was shot with the Lumix GH5

I hear cops are starting to use these in America. Sheriff Alex Villanueva is trying them in Texas. I do think they should be fined if they remove 'em.

M5? Do you mean Olympus M5 or M5 Motorway?
Is this supposed to be considered an independent review? It plays out more like an advertisement for both the camera, and the manufacturer, even quoting whole sections of the sales literature word for word.
