- A note from from Caspian -
After the release of the first album, I was overwhelmed by the response. I made sure to ask at the time what tracks YOU would like to hear in the next volume. I read through each and every one of your comments, scoured forums and Reddit pages, and then from that, drew out a long list of the songs that meant the most to fans of the franchise.
One thing that stood out from your feedback was the appreciation for the sense of adventure and warmth in the first album. It wasn't just about slapping a Lo-fi filter onto existing tracks; it was about capturing the unique essence of Zelda's worlds. So, I decided to embark on my own adventure, and set myself some 'homework'. I dove headfirst into the Zelda games I hadn't experienced before, immersing myself in their atmospheres and uncovering their hidden treasures.
With your wishes and the spirit of exploration in mind, I was inspired and got to work immediately.
Well over 500 hundred hours, 15 songs, hundreds of melodies, many sound effects, and a nostalgia overdose later, Hyrule Lofi II was complete. Each track has its own distinct atmosphere, and I've woven in secret gems and Easter eggs throughout the melodies and sounds-just like the games themselves. I hope you'll take the time to listen closely and discover these musical surprises for yourself.
I poured my heart and soul into making these songs a truly memorable experience for you. This album is a labour of love, and I genuinely hope it brings a smile to your face and tugs at your heartstrings. Nostalgia is the timeless compass that guides us back to the moments when our hearts found their truest melodies, I think that's why we always return to it, and why It can hit harder than a goron rolling down Death Mountain.
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days" - Sheik
Your support means the world to me. So, put on your green cap (or not, it's totally optional), sit back, relax, and let the melodies of Hyrule Lofi envelop you once more.

Your style is great. If there's one thing I really enjoy, is the added sound effects and voice clips used. It makes it feel more alive. I Listen to this in the back while multitasking, and I always catch myself looking back at the screen when I hear the sound effects, thinking something is happening in the video, only to see it's just the still image Hahaha! But, this is great! I am a huge fan of the first album, I've been listening to that a lot during my study and drawing sessions. Keep up the good work, Champion!

Thanks for taking an interest - the process was quite lengthy, I hope you don’t mind me explaining! I started out by using a variety of references including photos, my hand-drawn art, as well as digital sketches of the general structure and framework of the image. Then, I put these references into Midjourney, along with a prompt that I spent some time tinkering around with. I’ve found having this initial process helps to create AI artwork with a consistent style that reflects my mind's eye - one which has that nostalgic Zelda atmosphere. Once I have the initial images, I invest a lot of time in editing refining them, and tweaking the artwork until it matches my vision. After that, I export the image and start manually editing. I add details (such as Purah’s glasses), change the colour balance, and include little extras that I feel humanise the image. I spent a lot of time making sure the art captured the essence of each song - I think the background for Giant’s theme is my favourite. I hope this gives you a better understanding of how these artworks come to life - and I apologise for the lengthy response!

Because they are lovely, but not "accurate" so it just makes me a tiny bit confused. If it is a real artist who made them, tell them the pictures are gorgeous. Seeing AI images used throughout this video puts a very bad taste in my mouth and I can't finish listening to this album with that knowledge. @@elithalberg8918 It's complicated, but very briefly and simplified: because to "train" ai to make art, they use actual artists' work (99% of the time without their consent) to copy their style. ai cannot make art without being trained like that first. I imagine this is wonderful music that I would have loved, but I'm sorry to say the AI generated images turned me off of listening to it.

Matthew 13:18-23 18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty

Yeah it's ai generated. That's why it vaguely looks like something that could be Zelda fanart, but isn't really.

caspian replied in another thread with their process, and it appears that they used ai generated art but applied many edits to it manually, so it is a mix, but the base is ai generated.

The last song hurts my ears. Really unpleasant with the volume going up and down like that.
