If you wanna talk about the history of the Senkaku Islands you better come with a better argument and learn about the history behind it, not from some "news" or "article" but look at some research paper, books, and compare Japan and China argument about it in international law, you'll see why Japan deserve it. What happened between China and Taiwan is in the past. Today they have different government forms, you can't just come back and rule over just because it was part of China. Also, there's no correlation between Taiwan and CCP. Taiwan may have a history with China but not with CCP, it's like saying Russia can take Estonia just because it was part of the Soviet Union. Taiwanese living peacefully in democracy, their resistance toward China is proving that they don't wanna be a part of CCP. When we talk about the nine-dash line what we need to underline is that ASEAN and China must also adhere to the Convention on the Law of the Sea, UNCLOS. UNCLOS is an international law that has been agreed upon and adopted by the United Nations in 1982. All China must do is to have a civil discussion in the Code of Conduct (CoC) in the South China Sea with other ASEAN countries, not to send their ships and bring terror to ASEAN countries. Today we live in a civilized society, there are forums where we can talk about everything. Not to use "force" like in middle age. I'm mix-blood chinese so I'm careful when approaching these problems, I'm not your typical ignorant person who believes everything in the media. I did research them before I speak.

Crux's very first sentence is not correct. It's not the first time China tested successfully a hypersonic missile or one with a hypersonic glide vehicle. They have reportedly, by Western press, tested many before. It is reported that it is the first China tested one which can carry nuclear payload, though it is a PRESUMPTION (rather than a known fact) since it's pointless to have such a complex way to deliver a conventional payload.

A Hypersonic Glide Vehicle, that also does a low earth orbit before reentry. It doesn't glide until after reentry, unlike what the video says. Yes, the US is working on both HGVs and SCRAMJETs too, but doesn't have them yet.

A "normal" ICBM is like mach 25 so the only benefit of intercontinental hypersonics is that they can't be tracked in space , because they don't fly in space 😉 However they still fly high enough to not require a particularly special interceptor , the main problem is finding them

A typical ICBM is hypersonic in velocity only in it's terminal stage. Not to mention that it's pathway is fixed in all stages. It is very easy to intercept such missile with a descent SAM system. These hypersonic missile defies all defense concept of current defense systems that USA have.

Crux is not correct, Ballistic missiles do not go into orbit or high orbit. The Ballistic missile travels a parabolic path high into the upper atmosphere before it comes down.

Due late 2022 portable laser using technology of a completely different nature will be able to disarm any missles without regard to weather or particulate matter in the atmosphere at up to and possibly exceeding 150km range, at the speed of light. @@rcas350pilot8 When a hail starts, there will be a hail reply and the world ends. The point is that these ICBM defense system cost a lot of money but they cannot win a full exchange. The only solution is no nuclear war. And since neither side can control escalation, the only solution is no great power war at all.

There is no technology capable of defending against hypersonic missles yet. That is the game changer.

But how do you defend it? Forgot to mention?

China did not rise by "herself". China became rich and powerful due to American consumerism and came begging to the USA in 1978-79 for U.S. capital. The only reason why China is so rich now is because of American consumerism.

Facts. What idoit, would strengthen their enemy?

For the purported hypersonic missile a scramjet engine is required for the speed to reach 10 times or more than 20 times the speed of sound. The vehicle may be launched froma rocket or an airplane. China and Russia had successfully launched their respective hypersonic missiles years ago such as the Chinese DF17 and DF41 etc. The US is currently playing catch up and still failed at Mach5. These hypersonic missiles are hard to detect. They not only fly at extremely high speed but their trajectories are difficult to determine for interception because when they re-enter the atmosphere from high altitude they can practically surf and glide to change their course. No missile intercepting system is currently available for such hypersonic weapons.

misile defence system are based on calculating trajectory to intercepte missle. unpreditable trajectories cannot be intercepted by current technology. maybe laser guns in the future can do, but still need to solve the detection problem first.

Hyper weapons are a total scam. Friction and resistance increases with the SQUARE of the speed. This skinny $hitty looking excuses for weapons do not carry NEARLY enough fuel for long range flight at hyper speds, targeting is almost impossible at that speed and their explosive capabilities look very small. No way they are carrying multiwarhead nukes. TOTAL SCAM. These could be used as a trick for US to surrender in the event of a conflict. Russia also says it has a underwater nuke capable of 250 foot waves and I call BS on that too as the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard of. We have exploded many atomic bombs underwater and have not created tsunami's. The recent honga tonga underwater volcano is one of the largest underwater explosions ever recorded and gave us a 12 inch wave. This could all be part of a planned surrender.

India and China used to be on good terms before. In fact, there was an anticipation of an Asian Century led by Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India and followed by ASEAN including Singapore but it fizzled out because of runaway nationalism. The reigning Superpowers were too happy to see Asians divided as we currently see now; seek to exploit our divisions and expose our weaknesses.

According to the China spokesperson, what was tested was a reusable rocket technology which at least a few companies, around the already have or tested, including that USA of course, similar to US space shuttle, SpaceX,... So not much of a big deal
