@@kyh6767 but it DOES. Korea is so close minded when it comes to diversity. My parents and alot of old traditional koreans are racist without realizing. The fact that she has people of different races in her choreo AND they dont look like they are forced to be here is so important. Hopefully one day korea opens up a little more about diversity and this is definitely a stepping stone towards a better future.

This is Kirkland Krew. Nicole Kirkland created the choreography. These are not back up dancers, it's more like a collab.

1. Diverse dancers 2. Dancing in heels 3. Smiling and having fun the whole time 4. All in great physical condition, like damn those muscles 5. Incredible vocals 6. Amazing dancing + choreography. There is literally nothing wrong with this video

I love it when artists challenge themselves and push boundaries, hyolyn completely reinvented herself with her recent comebacks, better dances and vocals, I think she has found her individual style on top of that, i’m so PROUD of her

u can feel the warm and cozy atmosphere... also how friendly is hyolyn with her dancers and they are too close... It shuts down all the hate and malicious comments

not bashing at all, but you can see the true difference between american and korean backup dancers. Ive watched a lot of dance practices and am a dancer myself and most of the korean dancers don't really pay attention to their face. through this video, it shows it can really make a difference

I think you're absolutely right but I think when you're a backup dancer in korea you aren't allowed to draw too much attention to yourself at least that's what i think concerning the fact that they look so boring!

I think they're told to do so bc if you see group dances where it's for example a 12 member group they heavily focus on facial expressions and usually get trained to do so and to find cameras and all those things

mynameismayonaise I can’t speak for the korean side, but I know American dancers are told their facial expressions matter and if they can’t get the facial expressions right then they could get replaced in live performances or in music videos. They’re trained to have the right facial expressions. I’ve seen dance practices of kpop idols where the idols make the backup dancers laugh or smile, but those are bloopers so I assume, like many in this thread pointed out, that backup dancers aren’t supposed to take away from the idol.

All of them have ❤deanna has always been my favorite dancer but love them all so was so happy to see them colobrate with Hyolin 😍 and also I saw them live but was to shy to take a pic with them but they remembered me cus I had red hair xD ❤ I wrote them how happy I was to meet them on the concert but to afraid to take a pic and they told me they remembered me x)

i live the Yea at the start lol but im in love with this b/c as a performer i kinda get sick of seeing "dance practices" with effects and all the seriousness, don't get me wrong i love them but this is what my practices look like fun, yelling, smiles. this is real!!!

I love the song and the dancing but I especially like this dance practice because majority of the time everyone is smiling and look like they are genuinely enjoying themselves. I’m not saying other dance practices people don’t look like it but you can see it clearly everyone is super comfortable with each other and love what they are doing

Ive always loved Hyolyns work but after I saw a peek-a-boo of her stomach tattoo in the "Summer or Summer" MV I looked up what it actually was and found an article talking about the reasoning behind her tattoo DURING this promotion. I havent heard the song yet but the fact that the video starts with one of her dancers starting the count to make sure everyone is ON POINT with this rehearsal reaffirms my assumtion that not only does she care about the work that she produces, but she makes sure that the people that she surrounds herself with does the same. I just love when queens are queening, keep up the great work Hyolyn we love you so much

when i first spotted hyolyn with that big tattoo over her abdomen, i was kinda shocked and i judged her without knowing how much she has suffered as a child. that scar on her abdomen was probably a very big insecurity of her and now when i get to look at that tattoo, im just happy how she overcame that insecurity.
