Hydrogen peroxide vs. blood stains

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hydrogen peroxide and blood is one of my favorite cleaning reactions!!! Enjoy this timelapse of the reaction.
This occurs because organic matter like blood, damaged skin cells, and some bacteria contain an enzyme called catalase that sets off the reaction. When HP comes in contact with catalase it creates water and oxygen (aka bubbling).
Please keep in mind that HP is not ideal for wound care, this experiment is specific to laundry and textile stain removal!
For more laundry tips and tricks feel free to throw me a sub or follow me on IG and TikTok @jeeves_ny

The reason for this is that blood plazma contains proteins, which change their structure with change of temperature or ph. This process is called denaturation. Basically blood solidifies, when you heat it up, like egg whites for example.

Dawn dish soap on the opposite side of the fabric where the stain occurred (so if it's on the outside put it on the inside), and scrub the fabric together so you're pushing the stain "out" of the fabric rather than in. Rinse with cold water and repeat as necessary then launder in cold water. Been in more blood-covered situations than the video and not once used hydrogen peroxide or go to a drycleaner. If you get a blood stain, best thing to do is to address it while it's still wet. If you have to wait, KEEP IT WET (with water, not more blood lol). Then, run water through it from the back side of the stain, this pushes the stain out rather than pushing it further into the fibers. Use very cold water to prevent the stain setting, and keep flushing water through it until the run-off water is clean. If there's still some stain, then you need to turn to hydrogen peroxide, oxiclean, whatever stain cleaning product you like, and wash it further.

Probably use a high corrosive acid. Put that body in a barrel then pour the acid, it may take weeks or months depending on acid you use. And after that you are left with bones, you can use that bones to fertilize your plants (if you have a garden or something). Its a great way to Dispose and hide any evidence and the FBI doesn't suspect a thing.

If the blood stain is fresh, you can just pour salt on it, then enough water to moisten the cloth - the salt will liquefy the blood stain, at which point you rub it to make sure there are no dry edges, then rinse thoroughly. A lot of fabrics are ruined by 35% hydrogen peroxide; but not by plain table salt. My ex-husband's late mother taught me this. It works well.

Put the clothes in a basin with cold soapy water and rinse it, then put it in the washing machine. Hope this helped ❤

People who are trying to remove blood stains in their clothes for periods (or murder-yea, i see you)- just let the clothes sit in cold water and salt. My mom taught me this when i first bled through my clothes and it works really well, better if the blood is fresh but it still works regardless. Just make sure the water is COLD, hot water sets stains. If you have a stain on your mattress, you can use pinesol, just pour a little bit on the stain and scrub it with a cloth and itll be gone within like 5 seconds, based on the size of the stain :D
