Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Production. Proton pump

Topic: Gastric secretion of HCL / Proton pump or H + K + ATPase.
This video explains the mechanisms that are directly and indirectly involved in the synthesis of HCL hydrochloric acid by parietal cells; such as:
- H + K + ATPase pump (gastric proton pump)
- Anion exchange Bicarbonate (HCO3-) and chloride (Cl-)
- Na + K + ATP handle pump.
- Cotransporte K + Na 2 Cl-
- Cl-K + and Na + ion channels (passive transport)
- Na + active transport
- Active transport of Cl-
- H + Na + basolateral pump.
CONSIDERATIONS:
There are some variations in the literature regarding forms of transport in the proposed system for the synthesis of HCL hydrochloric acid:
- According to "García Sacristán" the chloride leaves the cell by facilitated transport. While according to "Guyton" the chloride leaves the median cell ion channels (the last way is as illustrated in this video).
- According to Guyton, some chloride enters through passive transport to the cell in the basolateral membrane.
