    The coincidence is so funny, that you guys uploaded this now and I have just got my new bike with modern parts a week ago, and I need to finetune the brakes :) I love all your work, the professionalism and compact format is on another level, just the way I love and need it! I cannot thank you enough for sharing so much info for free! I learned how to upgrade, service and set up my bike from your videos! Wish you guys all the best!

    Before pushing back the pistons, best practice is to have an open system with an open syringe at the lever to prevent a ruptured diaphragm.

    I don't know what you mean but Trickstuff's recommandition is clear and simple. There are also some steps missing which are assumed to go for like changing the O ring, push back the pistons before final bleed of master ...

    Any information about what position the free stroke screw should be in BEFORE bleeding on Shimano? Also, where should the reach screw/knob position be BEFORE bleeding too?

    Is it possible to mix Trickstuff calipers (for example C22) with shimano road levers? What would be the bleeding procedure - as for calipers, or as for levers manufacturer process?

    What’s the point of the bleed blocks vs disc/pads installed? Is the bleed blocks thicker than the disc/pad or is it the same size mimicking the disc/pad thickness?

  • @parktool

    @parktool

    Жыл бұрын

    With pads installed, the pistons are likely to be extended toward the rotor. You do not want that. The blocks keep the piston pushed into the body as you push the fluid. Additionally, you do not want any fluid on the pads, ever.

    This does not work for the Liccola carbon lever. The adapters do not fit. Now I need to figure out how to bleed my new brakes

  • @parktool

    Have you used the gold adapters, in the M4 threading? These come with the BKM-1.2. Measure the threads of the bleed port screw from the brake and match it.

    Where the bleed port is on the lever on the Piccola you need a longer, thinner adapter. The adapter in the kit is too wide and you cannot thread the adapter.
