I second that! Thinking back that probably was one of the first times I can remember experiencing asmr, was when people in school would do that. Didn't know what asmr was back then so I always felt weird when I just wanted them to keep doing it haha especially when normally they do it kind of to bother people

18:38 nails resting on the mic while you tap on them is one of my favorite triggers that I never see anymore, so glad to see it again 😴

ur like the most underrated asmrtist i know. ur so good at what u do!!!!

I'm a psych student, and I genuinely think that asmr based therapy should be a thing. Or just pure ASMR therapy sessions. I truly believe that asmr and creating this kind of a safe space for people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, insomnia, should be considered clinically therapeutic. I remember when I struggled badly with PTSD, one of the only things that could break through my hypervigilance and get me to regulate was asmr. It works better than valium. When I'm speaking to anyone in the mental health field, and I bring up asmr, almost all of them get excited. Because it is such a powerful self help, self soothing, self healing, empowering thing that really does work for almost everyone. If a patient comes in and says they like to watch asmr, no psych would tell them to stop, they'd encourage it. We have EMDR therapy, which works with bilateral stimulation and that helps to process while conscious and awake. With that we often have triggered patients processing intense emotions with little self soothing help. But what about how asmr could be used alongside to them help people self soothe, regulate, sleep, rest, and also then subconsciously process. 🤔 I'm so genuinely baffled that you can go in and get hypnotherapy, but there's no asmr therapy yet. Imo ASMR is so so much more effective than straight hypnotherapy bc there's no overt feeling of losing control. It's therapeutic effects need to be properly researched in a clinical setting and then peer reviewed, and then it needs to be applied.

For whatever reason, you have the nail scratches on the mic down to a T. A ton of other channels have very abrasive sounding mic scratches, but yours are so crisp and relaxing!
