Your resort tours are the most helpful videos I have found when trying to decide between resorts. I love the complete tour and helpful narration with all of the details! This was more informative than any videos, reviews, or even the hotel website that I could find!

I stayed multiple times at Silversands and it was one of my favourite Secret’s properties after staying at several. We have a little one now and are very excited to get back to the same property and try the Ziva brand in November/December.

I just booked a trip here and this was a huge help in deciding! I love the beach, but mostly because I just want to lay in the sun and relax so tbh the small beach is preferable since it seems like there will likely be fewer people

Have a great trip.

Was just at this resort last week and the water slides, kids water park, basketball and volleyball pool is closed at 5pm. The food was not good here. There's not much restaurants and food options. All restaurants and shows closed at 10pm. The beaches have so much seaweed so there is no beach. The AC in the room was broken.

How did guest services address the broken air conditioning?

Make sure to swim in all 8 pools. I vacationed here 4 times when it was the Secrets Silversands.

Hi, what are your top family resort recommendations with water parks and a pristine beach? Was considering this place until you mentioned this used to be secrets. Silversands stayed at Silver Sands in 2010, and was so disappointed with the beach. Your reviews are fantastic, thank you!

Silly question but are the pools heated? Or is that even needed in Cancun. Thinking of a mid December trip and I know that’s the cooler season..thanks!

The pools have the capacity to be heated, but some people may still find them a little chilly in December depending on the air temperature and amount of rain.

Great video. I will be traveling to this resort in three weeks. I have a question about Roots, am I correct, it is not included in the all-inclusive package? If not, how are the prices?

⁠@@Boxing316Everything is included-ALL the time. It’s fantastic. We’ve been at least 5 times (twice when it was Dreams resort). It’s a GREAT resort. Our favorite way to start the day is room service coffee, pastries, fruit. You will enjoy it!

Of the four Hyatt Zivas I have visited, this one is number 4 on the list. It seemed dated. My order is as follows: Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, and then HZRM. There is a very good reason why the HZRM is the least expensive and has free night options. Its still a Hyatt Ziva so if you are looking at other properties in the same price range, then I would say take a look. But if you can afford it, stay at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun. Also, the water has much more Seaweed/sargassum in the Riviera Maya area vs the Hotel Zone hotel beaches.

I personally put Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana over Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I just love that spa and lazy river.

For the price...it was good, food was really good and we visit the azul beach beside couple of time......but the beach is discusting and smell so bad at azul beach

They let you into Azul Beach even though you were not a guest?

Resort and food were just ok at best. We left after a week to Dreams Tulum. World of difference as far as food, beach, amenities, etc. Also all-inclusive and now under Hyatt ownership. I say look elsewhere or do Ziva Cancun. This one is very dated, beach is full of seaweed and marginal food.

@@TripswithAngie Dreams Talum was a bit dated as well, especially the suite bathrooms (Ziva rooms have great bathrooms). But it worked well with the overall feel and ambience of resort.
