Crazy enough to literally look at a human and think of "He is my work in physical form" and just teach him how to continue his legacy, but in a very mental and not skill form. Like maybe Hwei was already insanely skilled so he didn't need anyone to teach him how to draw, but rather what to draw, so in a maniacal Joker-Harley type of way maybe Jhin saw it that he needed to break him and push him into this despair as a mentor so that Hwei can become something like himself. So in that way Hwei also becomes art from Jhin

Hwei most likely has 3 forms of abilities(skillshot, aoe radial and aoe line) and 3 types of abilities(support, damage and cc). Ultimate appears to also have some kind of recast system(notice that he expends mana right during the animation when the ult already landed on jhin)

for those who don't know Jhin and Hwei originated in Ionia, Hwei found jhin and an artist temple where they bonded over art. Jhin decided his art would be better if painted by a gun and shot up the temple traumatizing Hwei ( and betraying him in that sense ) since then Hwei is expressing his sorrow and pain from the event ( jhin shooting up the temple ) and expresses it through art.

I find this character very interesting. Not only is the whole "light vs dark" subject something that fascinates me a lot, but the fact that Hwei is an artist with the ability to create endless possibilities is something that I like as well. I might not be be a painter, but I love to build with Lego, and I have a lot of appreciation to all those who build or are artistic and creative in their own right.😊

His in-game model and splash are pretty different in feeling. In the former, he looks more pragmatic and has a more rough look. In the splash, he looks very graceful and meditative. I prefer the latter.

Definitely. He looks sad, slumped over and walking without purpose in-game. It's definitely part of the character, but in the splash art and the animated parts of this cinematic, he looks graceful and eleganr as you said. I wish his in game model translated that.

Really don't know why but i'm getting so much feeling and so much fun with this champ... Mastery 7 after 2 months, in love with him, thank you Riot!

I didn't think it was possible, but this guy's abilities are giving me an even bigger aneurism than Aphelios did.

Kinda feel there is kind of a missed opportunity in there by not making the basic skills Red, Blue and Yellow (Purple, Orange, Green and lighter or darker tones), to then make the combined skills the colors painters get by mixing those but you can't win at everything, this champion looks really neat and I'm eager to play it.

His abilities, where he shoves enemies into each other seems like a newer version of the original Azir ult (before he got released)

I remember hearing stories that Aphelios was going to have some stupid number of weapons and there was going to be some sort of variation based on the real life phases of the moon. I really like the idea and concept of this one; let's see how his abilities are. It appears that he has a variety of spells based on how he uses his abilities. I'd like to have something similar to Aphelios in that regard, but with a bit more complexity. Once you grasp Aphelios, you constantly play him down the same way. It's enjoyable, and you have a lot of tools to play with, but it becomes monotonous.

Apparently hwei and jhin went to the same Ionian art school, and grew close. However they split because one had vision of beauty in death, while the other didn’t.

the fact i spoke to myself and said i wanted an invoker type champ in league like 2 weeks ago... and here we are now

If you look closely you can see 4 people standing right beside him these are prob his Teachers but you will see that they then mix into an explosion wich looks like one of jihns bombs you can prob think the rest.
