Hwasa's voice is so peculiar that it's impossible not to recognize her no matter how hard they try to imitate Hwasa....one of the most unique and beautiful voices I've ever heard

the thing about Hwasa is her voice is uncomparable to anyone. You can TRIED to sound like her but ppl can easily tell which one is the original and which one is the wanna-be by how natural they sounds. I don't even need to try that hard to be able to find her, she sounds very distinctive its crazy 🤣

Not really update about kpop songs, checked and listen to mamamoo and other groups sometimes... tbh maybe because you used to really listen to her, but for people who didn't really update & only casual listeners, the girls in number 1 and 4 have similar distinctive voice and singing accent with Hwasa. Even the girl in number 1, really thought if she was Hwasa. Btw yeah Hwasa and other Mamamoo girls have matured type voices like a professional vocal trainers especially Hwasa. Also the girls in here tho, they sound fine...but k-pop rarely interesting in strong & mature type voices

You folks may say Hwasa's voice is so distinct and unique that you could easily point it out from the impersonators, trust me I do also think that way. But here's the thing, what we need to understand is that it is very easy for us who are watching through a screen but experiencing it live like the artists and audiences in this program is a whole another different level which is why they find it difficult. For us watching behind the screen nuances like echoes, white noise, statics, and friction noises whatever the case may be are filtered out or balanced well enough for TV thus we can easily point out who is who, whereas during lives the people present in the show do not have that same luxury.

Exactly we don't have a pressure for guessing it right so we have a greater focus on the singers. But if i was in the audience I'd be struggling too especially because I'll be nervous

I was sure I would guess her right every time, but the computer I use doesn't have studio quality sound, so it made it difficult! I have heard her live and it's unbelievably beautiful!

I was able to guess it all Hwasa has a very very unique voice. She's a queen.

It's hard to mimic Hwasa's voice and these girls did their absolute best to perform her songs. The thing is, most of them are leaning to a nasal sound rather than a mix of being husky and sultry which is why it is easy to guess Hwasa base from the way she pronounce the lyrics.

Maybe it's also bcoz of the edited studio version of the girls voices but they sounded like they're forcing air out of their vocals which makes them more stand out rather than blending in with Hwasa's tone. But nonetheless they did great in reaching high notes and they have great vocals too

Yes, Hwasa does have a very unique voice that's a real pleasure to listen to, but I wonder why the production team chose singers with less husky voices? I'm tone deaf (like for real LOL, that's why I rarely listen to music, never heard a Mamamoo song before, only watching this cos I'm a Hwasa fan from her variety shows) and suck at this kind of show usually, but I got every single round right. I think it may have been a production choice so that she gets to stay in all the rounds or something.

yow, the producers were so brave to actually get hwasa for the show. her voice is unique dude, it mustve been so hard trying to get people who actually sounds like her. And of course for someone who has been listening to hwasa, and mamamoo, ALL THE FREAKING TIME, this was just a piece of cake 🤭

Everyone did well. But Hwasa’s voice and tone is so unique that it can’t be replicated. Queen! I was able to find her every time.

this just proves to all of us well-versed moomoos and listeners that she can't really be impersonated easily. some of them were too soft and forcing their voices lower to match her tone but I guess the audience found it hard somehow

I kind of feel like the audience gets instructed to pretend it's hard, for entertainment value. I only know one Hwasa song, but recognized her instantly. Noticed the same with the IU episode.

For those who don't know : the singer with pink hair is Yoo Joo Yi aka Cosmic girl. She is a former idol, main vocal of Rania and she is now a songwriter @ Rbw (Mamamoo's company). She is a friend of Hwasa, made songs for her. Lately she made "Knock" for Lee Chaeyeon.

Exactly as i thought, Hwasa’s voice is so unique it’s impossible to not spot her. Even if they could imitate her voice it’s impossible to imitate her singing style. Hwasa is one of a kind and no one can be like her!

Imagine how the production team had to auditioned many talented singers to be in this show. I bet not many singers have skill to mimic other artists, but this is very good.

Hwasa has an unmistakable voice, but the girl in the white shorts and blue shirt did a very good job for round three.

yhhh i ruled out 1 and 4 straight away but the 2 parts it was easier to tell

I feel like the mimics really picked out the distinct key points of Hwasa's singing style well. But more subtle characteristics lacked, like the way they pronounced words or like for Decalcomanie they seemed a little bit shy when singing

The Hwasas was actually a very good girl group.

It was easy spotting Hwasa but ngl, all the impersonators were amazing! They were able to impersonate elements of Hwasa's voice like the vocal fry and the roughness of her voice. Honestly, I feel like if I weren't a fan, I would have a hard time. But Hwasa's tone is just too unique

I'm a moomoo and i had a SUPER HARD TIME trying to figure out her real voice, I've barely made it through and i listen to her daily. Just wanted to share this in case someone had difficulty too bc I've seen a lot of comments about getting them right. I think you're all just gifted lol. & The all singers honestly did a great job.

A lot of these hidden singer shows I can get a bit confused but this solidified just how unique Hwasa’s voice is. I was easily able to pinpoint Hwasa in every round even with my horrible hearing. Hwasa has such a unique sound and such unique soul in her singing. It’s unmistakable. So glad she is a singer 🥰

All did good jobs singing. Hwasa’s voice is unique not only the tone but the skill, the pronunciation and everything that Hwasa is Hwasa so it’s easy to recognise

Been a MooMoo since 2015, knew her voice off the bat! But the other singers did amazing!

Not gonna lie, it was easy, i spotted her every time but mostly because of the habits and pronunciation. Hwasa has a pretty unique voice in kpop so the girls did amazing in matching it

I love how Hwasa is so humble. She's a queen yet she enjoys her fans singing with her, pretending to be her.

I think it's because Hwasa's trademark is the breathy/moany technique that a lot of people forget her just simply singing is unique in itself. I forgot which round it was but they all tried to mimic the way she sang and had noticeable breaths/moans and Hwasa was the only one who just sang normally and her voice stood out as it was lol Yes, Hwasa's voice is husky- but most importantly it's super powerful so as a MM I could tell in an instant 🤗❤

I like how hwasa kept it low during the end for their group performance..she is a such a beautiful human being

I don’t know Hwasa that well but you can simply hear the confidence in her voice.

I love that Cosmic Girl (Jooyi formerly of Rainia, now an RBW producer) also participated on this show. It was so funny when Hwasa saw her face and went 😦⁉😳 (not in this clip, but on the full episode) And 10:42 when Dongmyeong and Yonghoon (ONEWE, band under RBW) and Park Woo Sang (another RBW producer) recognized CG too 😂

Not saying coz am moomoo but Hwasa voice is rare in kpop .she got that powerful husky sultry voice there is no chance u can forget even after listening once .

I was confused at the first round between the 1st and 2nd contestant, but for the 2nd and 3rd round i got it right! So happy to be able to recognize hwasa's unique voice. But all of the contestants did a very good job, they're amazing as well 😉

hwasa's technique and pronunciation of words makes her stand out so much in the best way possible. just with this video alone, you can tell how much work she's put into her singing and it's reflected in how loud and clear she sounds compared to the participants of the show ♥ (as a side note though, i'm always impressed by how they manage to find so many people that can imitate voices so well they're all so crazy good at it hdfbgkhgdfkjfgd) mamamoo are all so incredible at their craft and i love them sm for it

I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to find singers who could even get CLOSE to her voice. Congrats because all of the mimics were fantastic.

The one with the short pink hair is actually a former idol. She was the main vocalist of Rania from 2011 to 2014. Her name is Jooyi. She now goes by the stage name Cosmic Girl and is one of Mamamoos producers and also releases solo music.

Hwasa's voice is so unique that it's hard to imitate. No matter how similar, there's something about her vocals that can't be replicated.

I always been a fan of Hwasa and I really felt sure that I would get them all right. Kept scaring myself and doubting each round but in my heart I was sure of the number that I picked, I didn’t change my choices. Her voice is just too unique! Each time I got a round right, I wiped that insecurity off me. I got all of the rounds right and I felt so proud knowing I am one of her real fans. Never doubt yourself if you really love Hwasa!

Everyone were good but tbh, its hard to do Hwasa's voice. That's why imo, Hwasa's voice is the most unique. She developed her own singing style after years of singing.

When I listened to NO.2 sang in the first round I knew she was Hwasa. Their voices were very similar yet you can see the difference in quality.

You really get to appreciate how awesome Hwasa is with this show. Her impromptu dance at the beginning with the host was a riot! Props to him for going with it!

So many hwasas sound so powerful I got goosebumps (the good kind), I instantly recognized her tho, bc of how much I adore all of her and mamamoo's music♡

Round 1 was incredibly hard but I got Rounds 2 and 3!!! Kudos to her impersonators for all sounding amazing. Can we talk about how chill Hwasa is when all the ladies are all singing together?! We love you, Humble Queen 👑💜
