Just a heads up for everybody, the button positions on the remote might be different depending where you come from. I'm from Canada so the input button is where the setting button is on the video and the setting button on my remote is on the bottom right. I got a Q80r and this solution worked BTW. Thanks alot.

It worked. Samsung Sound+ HW-MS6501. Recently HDMI - ARC abruptly stopped working and getting audio only thru TV speakers. Initially, I thought its my Sony x900f to blame . Changed HDMI cables, Bravia sync on/off. tried every single solutions on the X900f. Even i thought of Factory resetting the TV. Thank God, didn't do that. Or Else i drown into bigger headache. Resetting the sound bar took less than a minute and ARC worked like charm. Thanks to Pal Claudiu :)

You have a button pair or reset the bluetooth, select the source bluetooth and press and hold the button, (i don't remember what button is on the remote control)up, down, left, or right, if is not working reset the sound bar

Thank you so much!!! This solved my "SHOP4 DISPLAY" issue on the HW-MS750 Sound+ Soundbar. Samsung support said the unit was damaged and to send it in... Symptoms: +,-,SOURCE,SPEAKER ADD, and WIFI SETUP buttons on the soundbar did not work and unit would reset periodically to 50 volume

Thank you so much for this!!!! I've been pulling my hair out for the past 3 days dealing with the open-box sound bar I bought from Bestbuy. Turns out it was a store demo that will play for only a couple minute before cutting out to TV speaker and I just needed a factory reset!

I have the Q950A and the button layout is the same on the sound bar. The - and + did not work for me (did nothing), however, pressing the settings (cog icon) on the remote for ~10 seconds did force the soundbar to factory reset itself and it has so far resolved my issue where the sound would drop instantly to 0 (tried connecting with eARC/HDMI/WiFi with the same issue). FYI, my remote button layout is slightly different.

I have an Q850t my WiFi says disconnected . It’s a pain in the butt. One week it’ll say it’s connected and it’ll say disconnected. But the Dolby Atmos not appearing on my screen when I watch movies that are in Atmos like on VUDU, Prime , Paramount , MAX the Atmos would appear on display on the soundbar but lately I haven’t been seeing that . But I’m able to watch the movie and hear good sounds but I just enjoyed the Atmos . Any ideas ?? I could use the help thank you

Just basically had to do what you did and I started my movie back up and they were all working!! You can change the HDMI CABLE and setup the connection , or if you connect in diferent HDMI in the tv on tv screen is come autodetect your Xbox ,but i recomend to use a 4K HDMI cable

@@claudyu2002 Ya, see the only thing is, is that when using my Xbox to watch movies, I run my hdmi from Xbox to the back of my soundbar so I get that Dolby Atmos. But since I’ve gotten this new tv, I’m getting the HDCP error and my screen will flicker and freeze. As for now, I got my Xbox hdmi to tv & hdmi ARC from soundbar to ARC on tv.

My Q80R keeps showing ON then HDMI2 (it was on HDMI2 when it worked last time), then BYE and ON again. Sometimes it flashes UPDATE then same circle. Remote is not working so can't do factory reset. Any ideas guys? Thanks.

My soundbar is connected with the ARC and I never have a problem with the soundbar itself but my subwoofer and rear channel keeps losing the Bluetooth connection.. any ideas why?

Switch off the soundbar and on back of subwoofer and rear speakers push the button ID SET for 5 sec the blue light flashing fast , press and hold the button mute 🔇 on remote control for 5-7 sec , on soundbar screen is appearing ID SET ,Switch on the soundbar and all going connected, stable blue light

Hi the sound bar is faulty and you need to send back. The fault in your sound bar is the amplifier chip is goo hot and the auto protection is switch the soundbar off to don't catch fire.

In your soundbar you have a 4 amp chip. The chip is not expensive ,you need to find someone to replace them with hot air machine. Or replace the board what is more easy for you is just open the scrolls

Hi Thanks for the video first of all and your efforts I have samsung frame edge 55 And q700a samsung sound bar The first problem is it was dropping sound for what i am playing every single min for seconds I thought the problem is the distance for subwoofer But it wasnit I searched from google I found that i must disable anynet hdmi from tv setting But the sane problem still exists I searched for. Hdmi in sound bar yesterday and i found 2 One is normal And other labeled ( to tv and arc or sth like that ) i plugged hdmi not the one comes with sound bar i dont know where is it . I used the cable comes with samsung frame edge but tv cant get the source of hdmi although i choosed it from sound bar I connect sound bar to wifi by smart things app and i think the problem of dropping has disappeared But until now i dont know how to connect both divices with HDMI

If you use a HDMI cable is need to be a 4K HDMI and connect to the tv in HDMI arc and on soundbar to HDMI output , select the source d.in or tv arc. If is same problem reset the soundbar and the tv and setup again, is possible some missing files for audio output

Hi my HW-N950 is stuck in a boot loop cycle. It has latest firmware available installed but when switched on the other morning it started displaying ON...D.IN...flashes UPDATE...THEN displays D.IN again..then BYE this is repeated several times before the soundbar eventually turns itself off. I can't select any other sources as the soundbar is stuck on the D.IN source. Inserting a USB stick with latest firmware doesn't initiate a firmware update probably due to it being already loaded with the latest firmware or the soundbar is not booting far enough into its boot sequence to look for firmware file. Do you have any ideas on how to repair or reset at all please?...thanks.

You need to connect the HDMI cable on the back of TV in HDMI ARC is only one and on the back of soundbar on HDMI out(ARC)and select the source TV ARC , this source appear only if the connection or HDMI cable is ok
