I just bought one last week. I thought the overall sound was weak; then I set it to adaptive sound and it started to adjust itself to whatever I watch. Now the bass and overall sound is so powerful; I have to lower it down. I love ❤️ this soundbar.

Thats great, I think adaptive mode is the best. And if a soundbar is ever underwhelming there are usually bigger and better models that will fix that.

I have an old Panasonic 5.1 surround. 2 speakers are bad. I'm not sure if replace it for a sound bar or just replace the speakers

Appreciated the review and Samsung will be pleased that based on it, I'll be looking to purchase. Just a small suggestion... out of roughly 160 countries in the world only 3 use imperial units of measurement - U.S. , Liberia and Myanmar. You could broaden your audience by approximately 7.4 billion if you considered posting dual measurements. It's your review (and I enjoyed it) so this is merely an observation!

​@@WaltsTVI beg to differ that you only do business in the States. Based on my research and clinched by your review I purchased the B550 yesterday in the opposite hemisphere to you. There's a way for you to monopolise on that if you contact the manufacturers. The trick will be to remain unbiased but if you can do it, it's money in your pocket. Any doubt, just ask 11 year old Ryan Kaji. Not preaching.. just sayin'. Good luck and thanks for your reviews.

Great Video. I’m new to sound bars and this video ist the first one giving great information about the actual product. Is there a big difference to the HW-540/ZG ? Or would you recommend at least one different sound bar to take a closer look at for my first one. I’ve a 60” Sony 4K TV in my flat. Would be very happy with some help of you guys 🤝🏼

Thank you for the support! Just depends on what kind of tv you have. The more expensive your tv the more expensive your sound bar should be.

Hi. Thanks for the detailed review. Between Samsung B550 and Sony HT S20r, which one will you prefer? I know that it's unfair to compare a 2.1 with a 5.1 but I'm really confused here as both the systems cost exactly the same here in my country.

i just bought this soundbar at a discount new for about 150 dollars at my country Chile, (it is 270 at amazon plus 100 extra on import fees.) and IT SOUND AMAZING powerfull bass and good speakers, tons better than my cheap smart tv incorporated ones.

Have you tried the bluetooth connection with the TV? I have a projector and I don't know if I will have delay with the audio and video sync.

yeah i mean that is the issue with bluetooth is audio delay. Does your projector have hdmi arc or optical? because then you will be fine.

Have you reviewed the Bose Solo series II soundbar? Curious if this would be better or the Bose ? Thanks!

I have not, as far as build quality bose would probably win, but for price and sound I like the Samsung better.

What's the difference between hdmi arc and regular hdmi? Can you connect to a tv using regular hdmi port?

HDMI arc is meant to be able to control the tv volume with the same remote as your tv or cable box. Usually you use it to goto a sound bar or receiver and the other ports are used for your xbox and blue ray player.

Do you recommend buying this soundbar for an open space? It's not that big but still. Thanks

would the Samsung HW-550 be better than this? The HW450 is on sale as it's being discontinued for but an additional $50 I can get the 550 so wondering if it's much better for the difference. Thanks!

My soundbar overheated over 3 hours of sound the hdmi was unplugeed to the tv so i can use for bluetooth as a stand alone speaker the device wont turn on after playing with remote while on or try to connect to bluetooth is it because my speaker overheated and broke the power cord or the main board got fried? Pls help understand how i can fix with insurance on product from 2019 samsung soundbar with no hmdi, just power reciever 40W/24V Model HW-R550

Jbl deep base MK2 or this one ? For the best base ? It’s for my room. So I need a low frequency response. The Jbl says 200 RMS WATT for the sub en this one 250. But numbers won’t tell every thing.

yes with an optical cable. But I reccomend something more like the polk magnifi mini ax. I use this in my computer setup at home every day.

Here in the UK imperial measurements are still used by die hards like me , who were trained in our apprenticeships as in my case an electrician , from 1965 . But the Government told the county’s general public in 1970 to adopt and use the metric European standard way of measuring i for one did not do so to this day ! Thanks .

Can I increase the sound of my rear speakers with this soundbar? When I go the rear speakers setting and try to increase the volume, the only option it gives me is "ON" and "OFF". I have SWA-9200S rear speakers

So rear speaker kits are meant to add surround sounds to a system, actual voice and normal 2 channel audio is going to sound the same out of the bar and you should only hear things come out of the rears if your watching a movie or video games where there is actually surround sounds.

Best soundbar without subwoofer? I just don't have the space in the room with my design

the subwoofer is not too large, but most soundbars that dont come with subwoofers dont sound the best, also you can plug it in anywhere in the room and it will automatically connect to the soundbar.
