You can use about any defrost board as long as the sensor is right for the board. We use that goodman board for most non warranty stuff but if I need a defrost board for a unit I use what I have and make it work..lol

Hi! When you test the defrost board by putting one wire on the contactor, Which side of the contactor do you tie it to? Run or Common? I am guessing "Run". Also, Do you put both fan wires on the Run side of the contactor? Thanks!

You can buy the HK32EA007 defrost board on amazon for 100 bucks and 2 day delivery the fan relay is junk on those boards

Did they remediate the source of the mold?

all I got out of that was you have a bad board and cannot get the part.

Takes a little bit more work but I keep Goodman boards and sensors on the truck incase I can't get the original. You can put a Goodman defrost board on most single stage heat pumps that don't use on demand defrost. But I'm sure you knew that.

What's the shelf life of these defrost control boards?

Before I condemn the defrost board part number Trane CNT 02941. Split unit heat pump. Two defrost temp. sensors (ambient and coil). Defrost is auto "demand". Condenser ices-up. I short out force-defrost pins, unit enters defrost mode, OD fan cuts out, but ONLY 5VAC to reversing valve. Should be 24VAC in order to switch-over refrigerant direction. Reversing valve coil Ohm checks good. Both sets of sensor pins on defrost board show proper voltage at 5.5VDC. Both outdoor temp. sensors ohm out good relative to outdoor ambient temp. LED flashing normal. I had to melt the ice by shorting out force-defrost pins and temporarily jumpering R-O wires at condenser which sends 24VAC directly through defrost board to activate reversing valve. So, reversing valve is not automatically receiving proper voltage during defrost cycle. Any suggestions for other tests prior to condemning defrost board? Thanks.
