What a result; what a performance. A brilliant team display across a hard 90 minutes. Everyone had to be at their best against a quality side; and we were. From the first minute we were superbly organised, hard to break down and got stuck in.
Jacko the cat with another incredible penalty save in the first half as we kept Huyton at bay; and the league leaders kept knocking on the door but some terrific blocks and challenges denied them.
Second half we kept going and got our rewards for the hard work as Harvey Till glanced a header into the back of the net from a Joe Roberts free kick.
We held on for the final 25 minutes and could have grabbed another on the break.
But what a result that is; the early pace setters are a quality side, but we showed what we’re capable of today.
