For the first time in the professional rugby era, the Scottish have some considerable strength and depth to their back line options. This kid should keep Dunbar, Bennett and Taylor on their toes.

His parent's ancestry is Scottish and Welsh + he was born in Scotland. Moved to England from Scotland when he was 3. Moved to South Africa when he was 18. So it's hard to tell what he is really. I like to think Celtic genetics + South African refinement. He missed out on all England age-group teams because they said he was too small. He's 6ft 1 and 96kg now which is much bigger than Jonathan Joseph. Only have themselves to blame for their stupid selection policies. The South Africans definitely put him on that farmer bulk! haha

Nice timing on the release of your vid! Very enjoyable to watch. Had no idea who he was before Saturday's game vs Australia... Now I certainly do! Seems that those 2 tries were no flukes. I'd imagine the Australian players/ fans probably knew more about Jones than their Scottish counterparts haha, from playing vs/ spectating in the league. It's early but seems like he may be an even better version of Bennett (and I rate him very highly.) and to think, 5 or so years ago we had Graeme Morrison and Sean Lamont starting as our centres... How times change!

Marlos Craigan Yeah of course you guys are playing with 2 South African born players 2 Kiwi born, 8 Englishman a Kiwi coach, plus Huw Jones have been developed down south. Meanwhile we have more than 200 professional rugby players abroad and national policy says we play mostly local talent. The same goes for the Aussie's and Kiwi's in a lesser extent. How many Southern Hemisphere coaches and players are there up north? How many world cups have you won? B&I Lions record? If the Northern Hemisphere can keep this up for the next 2 decades, we'll be on equal playing fields. But in the meantime with all respect just fucking shut up mate.

This video should be compulsory viewing for all those English scumbag armchair pundits who had the nerve to make insinuations about Nigel Owens's refereeing being (at least partly) responsible for Scotland winning last weekend. Rugby is a team game and never down to individuals, and Scotland's back row unit in particular must take the majority of credit for so successfully dominating the breakdown and providing the backs with quick ball to work their magic. However, if you're looking at individual contributions, the brilliant performance of Huw Jones was largely responsible for the win. And this video is a brilliant showcase of his skill set. His reading of defensive patterns and ability to identify gaps in defence; the acceleration to hit those gaps - I really like his body position as he sets off on a burst; not the most subtle sidestep(!) but bloody hell it's effective; and good hands too. I admire players who have the guts and wherewithal to go and seek experience and education overseas. Martin Johnson did it (NZ), James Haskell returned a far better player after his stints in France, Japan and most significantly New Zealand. It really seems to have helped springboard Huw Jones's rugby education and career. Good luck to the bloke, could be a massive star I reckon. Just don't bloody do it against England again!

Bennett is as fast as a winger and has better feet than pretty much all of the centres in the northern hemisphere. If he actually had form he would be a Lions contender. You don't know what you're talking about.
