The Aprilia and R3 will cost a lot more than this (ex showroom price will be near/more than the duke 390's on road price) and the x440 is cheaper but power figures are way low compared to the rest.

I currently own a svartpilen 250 (for 3 years and clocked over 28k kms) and the only problems I have is the ground clearance (only if it had a tad bit more ground clearance) and the high labour (labour charges almost cost the same as part charges even for simple jobs) and parts cost charged by ktm (front brake pads cost near ₹1k from ktm but just ₹300 for the same exact from bajaj) and the headlight issues (first, one of the led of the drl died and replaced it under warranty. Then the low beam dies and again replaced under warranty) and the terrible back break. Other than this, everything was smooth over the years, had put ceramic pads which fixed the brake issues (and costs just a little over the factory ones but the difference is massive), changed my tyres to appolo h1 alpha (better grip, better handling and more cornering confidence, feels much more planted compare to the stock MRF dual purpose ones), raised my handle bars to improve comfort on long rides and does most of my services in reputable 3rd party shops like LRL. I'm short but the seat height was not an issue once I got adjusted with it. Also this is my first bike (I've only owned scooters till then). Waiting for the 401 to drop in showrooms (showroom @aluva told me it would arrive in mid February, but there's already the 2024 vitpilen 250 on display) and might even grab one cause of the added refinement and more power on reserve and also the higher ground clearance.

I own the new Vitpilen 2024. Not like before, it is more practical, big and have a softer suspension than before. Guys go do a test ride. You will love it. You wont feel it is a smaller bike. I had a svartpilen 250 2020 before which I sold and bought this one.

Definitely enthu saadhanam kooduthal use cheythaalum athinu wear and tear kooduthal undaakum... That happens with any mechanical device. But it is nothing to worry about. Your shocks will go bad probably before the adjuster goes bad. 🙂🙂

145 mm is the older version, now for the new 2024 models both vitpilen and svartpilen have been upgraded with 177mm.
