@@noidontthinksolol they are not made for hitting big ass jumps or riding fast on rough tracks. Plain and simple. Yes the XR is bulletproof. I grew up riding them, but they're not made for mx tracks. Motorcross bikes are generally rigid, from the frame to suspension. This is to handle riding rough tracks at high speed and landing big jumps. XRs are trail bikes made plush for longer distance riding. You and I are talking about different things I think... There is a reason why they make mx, enduro and trail bikes with very different characteristics. Most people wouldn't dare ride an XR as hard as this on an mx track. This dude is a beast for sure.

XR's forever! Me and good friend still ride xr400's as our main trail bikes. With the right mods they'll do anything you want them to.

The xr400 is the 400ex motor on a dirt bike frame right?? If so what is a xr600r because I have never ever heard of it and I’m curious also I was born In 1990. She’s some light on the Xrs story and the difference from a dirt bike if their is a diffeence

haha, and if you have a white bike like me or in the video.. it massively reflects on this front guard and you can see even less ... :D thank god i still have mine, 15 years.. half my life, i will never give this bike away

Superb video and masterclass riding, congrats from Spain. I'm close to get my xr ready but I have a problem, last day i tried to start the engine and it went well, a few minutes later i tried to kickstart another time but the piston doesn't move(even with decompressor), idk why but it seems to be blocked by something.... :( Hope soon i can fix it and i will try to ride like you!

First, get an XR, Secondly, fuel it up and ride and ride Thirdly, Ride a lot more and develop skilled ridding Fourthly, keep ridding.......

MICHAEL SELIX I have a XR650L, I think I know what what he’s talking about. I’m sure his 600 is setup better, but still, it’s a handful compared to my KDX200.

Should include the brand name.... Husqvarna..... Honda in the title... always like seeing the old xr get after it. What mods have you done to the xr? Ever thought about USD fork swap? I'm doing this to mine now using a emig steering steering stem.

It’s a shame Honda discounted the XR line. I remember when the XR250/400s were the KTM 300s of the day.

It wouldn't hurt at all if there was a little bit stronger spring on the side stand as it is just a bit longer than a street bike allowing for a little bit more leverage to fly out and a Supercross track like this one it's just a little bit rough enough to make the unthinkable happen with a kickstand on an xr600r and there he goes over the double jump hoops this kickstand just blew out in mid-air wondering what's going to happen when he land

At first I was wondering where the sparks were coming from... Haha it was the roost reflecting off the headlight. Best bike for night riding it would appear. Couldn't see much on some of those black spots of the track.

Now I have to fix up my 1982 XR 500. 👍

I have an XR 400. Catch I want to raise the bars a little but I think the D comp cable is prohibiting that. I took the stock dick hump lever off and installed a moose racing clutch lever and hot start, By doing that I had to get a discount cable that was 2 inches longer from the XR 650 R and that just reaches. Any suggestions on what else I can do to raise the bars?

This is funny .. it was back in 1997 when I bought my first xr600r and purchased it from a friend of mine who owns the Honda shop that his name is Chad Thompson of Thompson's Motorsports and at that time Chad Thompson skill of motocross is pretty good and Supercross top 10 but at age of 47 my skills were pretty much 47 * old but on our local motocross track I can keep up with the fast fast guy about two laps on an xr600r of a 1996 model then it was time for another cigarette and a beer no reason why young guy cannot have a little bit of fun on one and probably get a first place once in a while but there's nothing that will replace a two-cycle motorcycle for Motocross not ever before and not ever again that's what they were first designed to be able to do are all Motocross in the beginning we're on 4 cycle engine because a 4 cycle engine cannot supercharged get self never could never will never a two-cycle engine will not run without supercharging itself that's why they have Boost port induction as I tried to explain any comment boxes before only to get fucked in the ass spit on and explain what a moron I am so fuck all you go to hell if you really want to know how it works you're going to have to get a job at Honda and let them explain it to you like a man called Yoshimura told me
