I bought a 550 xp , 20" bar last year and this year 2024 I needed a long bar for large trees , so I bought a 572 with 32" Husqvarna light bar and C85 chain. I may change the bar out for a 28" later because the 32" bar is a monster. I paid 935.00 power head & 150.00 for bar 7 chain . I opened the exhaust on the 550 xp and it's a great saw. I haven't ran the 572 xp yet but have bought a rap around handle for it. Make sure you grease the clutch bearing weekly.

A 32in bar is too big for a 70cc class saw, unless the wood is really soft like most pine, basswood, poplar, etc. I wouldn't trust the stock oiler to lube that big of a bar adequately. 32in bar is 90cc class territory.

@@thefirewooddoctor .... I wonder why Husqvarna list a this saw with a 32" bar ? Both these numbers are 32" bars # 966 73-31-14, 966 73-31-82 Husqvarna numbers are 572 s with 32" bars.

Sounds like a good quality saw Jeffrey. I have never ran a Husqvarna saw before but people that have them seem to really like them.

I used to run Husqvarna’s saws and loved them. Can’t remember what one’s as it was 30+ years ago.

My Husqvarna dealer will even work on the clone Husqvarna models. Plus that dealer is a backwoods sawmill.

Is pretty decent for speed. In the small cherry thay I'm cutting up there really is no beneft to using a 70cc class saw when a 50cc pro saw is just as quick.

What’s your secret with vapor locking? My MS400C did it this weekend
@thefirewooddoctor
Жыл бұрын
Depends on the level of vapor lock. Try a couple of pushes of the primer bulb if you have one. Haven't seen the Stihl 400 in person to know if it has a primer bulb.

If designed properly, the primer bulb just pushes the extra fuel back to the fuel tank.
