The Husky adjustable height workbench is great for a workshop or home office. Sturdy solid wood 1.19" thick top with smooth rolling casters. The drawers are fairly shallow and a little light duty, but work great for small desk items.

Thanks for the great review with tip n tricks. I just received my 72" no drawer bench. I am making another reloading bench for another rifle cartridge reloading press setup and the drawers will be in the way of installing flush mounting tracks. I agree the top is a little on the soft side. We'll have to see if it works for this project. My guess is it will for a while and ill just build another top when needed. Thanks man!
Good show, ole'boy, way to adapt and overcome with the width extension! I'm loving this table to modify for assembly/outfeed...maybe 2...or 3, lol. Also my jobsite Ridgid table saw may die some day, and I would crying the blues if my new saw didn't work with my existing table.
Nice review and my experience is mostly the same, so I'm going to check out your other videos. I, too, had a little trouble on getting the center rod installed, i.e. it needed to be rotated to align things - no biggie and I did it solo on the size bench I got. (Mine is the 42 inch version, w/o drawers.) I would also add that, per the instructions, one definitely needs to keep all screws loose until setting the shaft, the cover, the legs and getting all the screws started before snugging things up. As for the hex size of the height adjustment, mine is 10 mm, not 3/8. (From one of the comments I see you took a measurement, so seems like there can be some slight manufacturing differences in those parts.) As I've modified the front of my bench I needed a different crank and ended up going with a 10mm hex bit (fwiw, also by husky and in stock at the store for $4). For now I'll use a small ratchet or breaker bar to adjust the height. One last thing for anyone shopping for these, I only learned about this bench from another review on KZread and don't recall one ever being on display at the local HD stores -- even though they do keep them in stock (sizes vary by store). I fit the 46 inch in my hatch by myself and then opened the box in the car to take out the top and pieces individually. Moving a box containing the larger sizes would likely take 2 people. Heavy overall which for me makes for a more stable work surface. Just my 2 cents, squared or maybe cubed! ; )
What!? Nate from college has a KZread channel?! Awesome!

Haha, it's always funny when someone I know discovers the channel. 😂
Buying this for a garage desk
Hey, Doresoom . When are you going to make a Patent video with Makita again ? Asked you earlyer too 👍 Greetings from Norway, keep up the good work 👍
i have an odd question about the drawers. is it possible to remove the front handle? id love to conver those drawers into a keyboard tray. im sure i could just repurpose the brackets, but if i could save myself the work by just removing the front handles that would be amazing.

I think you can remove the silver pull handles, but the front of the drawer still sticks up just as high. If you were to cut it down, it would lose all of its rigidity and fold in half if you put any weight on it.
Is there room to attach a clamp onto the table near anywhere. I want to use it for a grooming table

Yes but you will likely need to get it without the drawers.
do they make a 72x28 version of this table? uline has one, but it's not adjustable and there's no drawers. 24" is way too small for things like t-shirts (vinyl printing)

No, unfortunately they only offer it in 24" depth. You could always add an extra board like I did to get it to 28" though.
They don't have it in black? Do u think this will look good under my mounted tv in garage man cave?

It usually comes in both black and white unless they're out of stock for one color temporarily. When I bought mine the white one was $50 cheaper for the same size, so I went with that one. I think it'll look great in a man cave garage!
Do you find that the 3d printer causes the desk to wobble? It is often claimed that an extra rigid desk leads to better print quality.

I get great print quality on this workbench. I've actually had two 3D printers and the laser cutter all running on it simultaneously with no issues. There is a tiny amount of perceptible wobble with all that going on, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.
I too own this adjustable bench. Had the same experience assembling it but mine wasn't as long so I could do it myself with no help. The price is right and its a very nice adjustable bench. The one thing that surprised me was how shallow the drawers are. It really limits what you can put in them. Overall though its a really good option if you are looking for a well built, affordable bench that is easily adjustable. I'd buy it again in a heart beat.
Do you think this is sturdy enough to install a vise? Is there enough space with the drawers?

It might be OK for a small vise, but I wouldn't plan on really beating on it.
👍
Adding extension to the back is a good idea, no one will notice it.
Other people say it's a 10mm hex.

Could be 10mm - I just tried the 3/8" first and it fit pretty snug so I figured that was it. Either way, this is a low enough torque application that 0.5 mm difference probably won't matter. Edit: I went and measured the hex crank. It's 0.373" across the flats, which corresponds to 9.47 mm. So I think it's actually 3/8" hex, but the receptacle can fit a 10 mm hex as well, so it's just a loose enough tolerance for either.

Yep, 10mm for me. I don't have calipers to measure but the hex shaft on my crank won't fit in a 3/8 socket. I see that he measured so seems like there can be manufacturing differences. A 3/8 allen key will fit in the shaft but it's a little loose; 10mm gives a snug fit on mine.
I ended up buying something at owes because the price on these was nuts

I shopped around quite a bit before deciding this one was the best value for my use. I'd be interested to see what you got at Lowes - I haven't really seen anything comparable to the Husky for less money.
