Extremely annoying bell sound for people with hearing problems (tinnitus and hyperacusis).

The only criticism I have is no one is wearing bike helmets. People have died from crashes on bikes. I know people who have been in bike accidents and they have said the helmets saved their lives.

You have probably never been to the Netherlands.. No one is wearing bike helmets here. The country is optimized for bikes and in general it’s way safer here sinds we have dedicated bike lanes and a it is a flat country. I’m not saying accidents don’t happen but it’s very rare that people get badly hurt.

@@Sosy2 I’m not talking about cars hitting bikes. When you fall off your bike head first into the pavement. In Canada everyone has to wear a motorcycle helmet but in the US there are still some states where you don’t have to wear a helmet. For safety everyone should wear a bicycle helmet. The children should at least wear them.

@@tamarak9393 Then I guess that you do also not realize that all children in The Netherlands ride bikes from the time that they are around 2 or 3 years old.And when they go to Kindergarten they will have biking lessons and biking rules on the road lessons.After this they have to do an exam that includes a practical exam and will receive a certificate.Then in primary school there is usually another exam,where you have to ide on the bikepaths and do a real life road side test to proof that you can ride and know the rules.Your balance and coordination is pretty excelent for most people here and it is second nature.So yes,some people will have their kids wear helmets when they start out learning how to ride,but not after that.And like the other Dutch person has stated above accidents do not happen often and even less with falling on their head.It is just another way of looking at it.If you perfect your craft you are less prone to falling.It is not considered a danger sport here and people are more aware of bikes and how to use them properly.

The Netherlands is a very safe country on all levels. I guess you are from the US therefore I would avoid criticizing other countries way of life considering your high rate of violence and criminality. No one will forbid you to wear a helmet in the Netherlands. They respect others.

Your not dutch. You have no accent. I have dutch and belgium friends and they speak very badly with a thick accent. I recognized the windmill town. It is very Groot. 🤣 because it faces nordt. Go get some blue delft in delft. I would like to visit a country that is 1/3 the size of my state of florida and is so much like florida. mostly flat and canals everywhere. No mountains in NL. duh.

They do have an accent. Because their spoken English is so good, the accent is not as pronounced. Might I suggest having your ears checked or expanding your horizons beyond Florida.
