LOL, break not brake
I believe my great grandmother Claire is the one pictured with those pups, but I'm not certain. Very fun to learn about our history and the home, thank you for this video!
I hope this grand old house can be restored & used as a neighborhood center of some sort. Thanks for this interesting video.
Thank you for this!
That was our clubhouse in the 80s it had running electricity still from 84 to 90
The building has been bricked since the 1980s and conditions are dangerous inside. Tours would be impossible. It’s also private property.

I don't know why it doesn't have a Landmark status.

Any idea when this house was supposedly built? So many of these "Gilded Age" properties have a mysterious lack of photos of them under construction.

Nify music though a bit unfitting imo !
Do you ever help conduct tours of the home?
Interesting
Music behind annoying
Why did the Hurst family sell the home originally?

Mr and Mrs Hurst both died a short time apart, and the house was sold and proceeds split among the many children.
But I want to know about the fates of the orphaned Hurst children.

They were all put on orphan trains and sent West. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orphan_Train#:~:text=The%20Orphan%20Train%20Movement%20was,relocating%20from%20about%20200%2C000%20children.
