This was thrilling to watch, but so dangerous to record - 1) There was a significant potential for being electrocuted, since the electricity remained on, 2) If the power had gone off while they were wading in the deep water with the full-force wind, they would've been stuck in complete darkness with no easy way to find shelter, and 3) There was no way to see where their feet were in that water, meaning accidentally stepping on a curb or into a drain unexpectedly would've dumped any of them into the moving water instantly.

well... I'm replying to a 9 months old comment but... 1) that is true, 2) well that's true but I believe they are not dumb enough to not bring a flashlight, and there's always a built-in flashlight in some devices whether it's a camera or a phone. 3) I believe that a lot of people venturing the wild nature of a dangerous hurricane at night would be locals, or at least know the area... but overall, it's hella dangerous

if the power had gone off, there are these things called "Emergency lights" that are federally required to be installed in buildings that have commercial or industrial purposes, so, no, they wouldn't have been in complete darkness, especially given that for places like that, they are required to have emergency generators permanently on site, and a good chunk of the external lighting and most of the main areas inside are wired directly to those generators.

Another danger is that with those hurricane winds, and electrical cable that is in the street can be electrocuted or also under the water there could be cut electrical cables and if by accident they touch one of those hurricane winds and that big storm surge an electric light pole can collapse and it can fall on you or you can get hit by flying deberis

Biloxi resident here, this happens extremely often. It’s just part of living on the coast. On this exact night, I was in the golden nugget eating upstairs 😂we had to evacuate and an hour later the bottom floors flooded. But that’s usually just a casual thing. Hell, my own street floods up nato my front door during every large storm.

Not really but how was Katrina in Florida because I live in Florida and I was born right before it like I don't know how many months before I was a few months old whenever it hit but there's some boats out here still and some Woods that are left over from where the boats floated to there and there was like think five or so by the Pensacola Beach
