Hurricane Ida lashes Louisiana, knocks out New Orleans power
A Louisiana sheriff’s office has reported the first death from Hurricane Ida. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office says on Facebook that deputies responding to a report of someone injured by a fallen tree at a home in Prairieville confirmed the person had died. Prairieville is a suburb of Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s capital city. The report came hours after Ida slammed ashore in south Louisiana as a major Category 4 hurricane with winds up to 150 mph. The storm has since weakened to a Category 1 hurricane, its eye passing inland along a heavily populated corridor between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

Unfortunately, the cataclysms will only grow and synchronize. This was discussed at the international conference "The Global Crisis. This Already Concerns Everyone." But we, all mankind, have a real way out to survive cataclysms - this is the Creative society!!

As someone who went through both (Terrebonne Parish) Ida was much worst. Maybe I'm bias because many people I know are homeless because their roofs were ripped off, or their walls caved in, or a tree fell on their house. And I haven't even mentioned our neighboring towns like Galiano and Golden Meadow that have basically been wiped off the map by the 150+mph wind that just battered us for 5 hours

I didn't evaluate for either hurricanes. This one was definitely worse then ANY hurricane I've ever been through. This is the one that I'll never forget. Katrina was like a breeze compared to this one. But, we're in a very slow process of rebuilding. This is home

Ya, and the Cajun Navy, and the Shreveport Volunteer Network (there’s probably more groups I don’t know of) are already there. These are groups of regular citizens with boats or other expertise who train on their own and who are ready to respond and save lives during such storms.
God is the real Super Power, people have forgotten :)

@@tj111899 I smile at people, I smile at myself after thinking that what we have done in this world. we really deserve all this. we are not on right track and we really have forgotten that there's someone who controls us. I wish everyone realize and get back to true path and try to make this planet peaceful place to live. these things will surely automatic stop.
