That is what people do not get...and they always want to stop at S6 as if S7 did not happen...and then try to label them toxic...uumm no they were toxic up until S7 and you have to look at the whole relationship not just its worst parts then try to define them based off of that alone.

Spike is ironically the most virtuous character on this show... *Buffy dies & spike sticks around to protect dawn & the scoobies because she can't *Spike loves her both when he doesn't have a soul & when he does (unlike someone else we know lol) *Spike shatters Buffy's trust &so he allows himself to be put through torment to get a soul to be worthy of her *Spike dies to save not only Buffy, but her friends & really the whole world... No one else on this show would've done that...

Spike manages to make Buffy feel things she never felt with anyone in that episode of Season 7, where Spike talking to a discouraged buffy who has no strength left to fight, he cheers her up and gives her the strength she needed at that moment makes her cry of emotion is still in the end with a face full of tears Spike still manages to make her laugh even with a face full of tears Spike is one of the few characters that make buffy cry is to laugh at the same time in a single conversation

I think he could smell not just her "scent", but her feelings too. That's why he's there when she needs him, think about it. Always there.

In season 6 Buffy had feelings for Spike, she was fall in love with him, but didn't to admit it herself,becouse she thought it was wrong. But at 7 season when Buffy saw his changes, she started to understand that it thrue feelings and real love. It was amazing lovestory with difficulties, with Best and whors but its real relationship.

Yes, 100% agree! Buffy definitely fell in love with Spike during S6. As much as she could in her mental state. We don’t get S7 Spuffy without there having been a foundation for love already. They just fall harder in love and it’s a healthy one because she’s not depressed anymore and he’s got a soul.

I love them so much.. More than i ever loved Buffy and Angel. Season 7 Spuffy is my favorite. The best. Buffy loved him, i believe it with my entire soul.

Season 7 showed Buffy's love for Spike in each episode. The two turned off all the loud noises around them, such as desire and self-loathing, and finally looked at each other quietly with all their heart. Buffy also regretted being tough on Spike in a conversation with high school friend Vampire. I wonder what Buffy would have said if Spike hadn't stopped Buffy from finally trying to talk about her feelings that night. If Spike had listened to Buffy then, Spike would not have said "No, you don't" at the last moment.

I always thought he did believe her, but knew if he said it back she would stay with him. He loved her above all else and knew he was going to die and wanted her to live. That was how I always saw it

tbh i prefer spuffy rather than bangel. the chemistry between the former is just oof- also also, i stan this mv, it tingles my spuffy senses

So many of these lines, I've came to know by heart and I'm cursed with Spike's voice saying them. I think he was the best thing that could happen to her and it's clear when he doesn't leave her alone on that night, even if he probably knows he wouldn't wake up with her beside him. Love this video.

@@helloserendipity13 hi, sorry it took so long to write back! Thanks for your words! I think, well, every part of him is wonderful, but his voice is the feature hunting me. It's a gift he got, that voice, low, soft and sturdy at the same time. Strong and weak and impossible to forget. But working into the theater and reciting Shakespeare, that's what gave him that skill to drive me to tears just changing the way he uses his voice. It's like, even if I didn't understand a word of English, I could make itup what he's saying, just by the tone he's using. Amazing and terrible at the same time, cause now I really crave to hear his voice every day! Check him out reciting and explaining Macbeth... Wow! Sorry for writing so much! Thanks for this vid again!

I actually had to get tissues after watching this because I cried so hard. Buffy was my first official show and fandom obsession as well as my first dvd. I have been rewatching it recently and it's still my favourite hands down especially spuffy

Idc how the show ended, Spike came back later on and happily ever after they lived because, as it turns out- Buffy DOES love Spike. Maybe she didn't mean to. Lord knows she shouldn't of after all the bad things he's done...but he changed. He became a better man. And she' loved *him*, *she* loved him, she *_loved_* him. THE END

I love that you noticed that! I did try to go digging for somewhat less familiar clips but also I tried to make sure the story I was telling made sense, so sometimes I had to not use certain clips I wanted and instead look for a particular clip showing buffy being defensive or showing buffy warming up to him. thanks so much for watching! ☺️

It took me a while to understand this season, for personal reasons, but i am beginig to get it. This resumes the best of them, i get it more now, althogh other seasons where funnier or sexier ahahah , i understand now that this mature season was necesary. Great video. Hugs

@@helloserendipity13 read The comics were a balm for my soul. Imagine that I spent years and years believing that spike pufff died ... I had never seen Angel, much less knew about the comics. So when I discovered everything I was happy😊. Those last chapters between them there was peace. There was love.

@@Haleycarol I think she had love for him but not in love with him S6- to me there is a difference-she definitely says, "I do have feelings for you but its no love (in love) I cant trust you enough (no soul) for the feelings I have about you to be considered love (in love)" . That is how I interpret it...cause regardless of how depressed she was, Buffy is not the type of girl just to be having sex with no feelings. Even that jerk Parker she slept with in college...he was spitting game at her for days before she slept with him and then she ended up "developing feelings for him" based off of the fact that she slept with him and then took it so hard when she realized it was a one night stand. So to me she had to have feelings for even Spike to sleep with him and if you think about it..she knew she was choosing to be that vulnerable with a soulless demon. So S6 love but not in love, S7..in love.

About that part where Giles and Robin plans to kill Spike Giles never liked Spike Spike wasn't a liability at all He never indicated in any way that he wanted to hurt any of the girls and the girls weren't afraid of him Dude even chained himself in the basement and planned to leave town until he was okay again This wasn't about Spike being a threat or a liability, is was about Giles and his petty vendetta against him
