A man was rescued after being stranded on top of truck from floodwaters on Highway 288. The man was forced to sit on top of the cab of the truck as he waited for first responders. This happened as Hurricane Beryl brought heavy rains and flooding along the highway. This was near Holly Hall.

Driving around Streets Flooded makes no sense. 😢
If he did not have to be out in that storm, he not only put his life in danger but the lives of the first responders. Shame on him.
It's incredible how many adults aren't smart enough to know not to drive into water.
Not a buoy. A life-preserver or ring. A buoy is chained to bottom of sea bed or river bed.😊
Don't drive during a hurricane or you may be humiliated on national news like this local Texas man.

That's crazy. Im 4 hours away south from houston. It's dry over here. It is crazy to see the streets flooded and im not even that far.

Not sure why he's out but once you reach flooded streets and you attempt to drive through in the middle of a hurricane, it places you in the dumb category either way.

Rescue and send a fine notice. The resident should be warned in advance to stay indoors or avoid driving during the storm unless there's emergency
