Hürrem's abrupt switching sides comes from her desire to protect both her sons. Whoever gets the upper hand in the sultan's eyes, she supports the other one for them to have somehow equal chances

Prior to watching this, I think 👑Hurreum Sultana knew, deeply, in her heart, whom 👑 His Majesty had already chosen as heir, via obvious reasons. Nevertheless, she had to comfort her son 👑Shehzade Bayezid...as his days were numbered.

In a parenting way, I prefer Hurrem to Suleiman. In every word and deed, Hurrem seems to take more care of the hearts and feelings of all her children. She was never openly biased against her son as Suleiman did. She treats and supports them equally. And one more thing, she never compared all of her children.That’s why her son is more closed with her because Hurrem makes them feel appreciated and precious

Look at 4:36 and 4:40. We can all see how hurt and sad Hurrem felt after Suleiman’s Unthoughtful announcement. I feel that she told those words to Bayazid at 5:39 out of pity. She wanted to make him feel better. 🥺❤️

It's sad to see two brothers separated.If it wasn't for the war for the throne they would be much happier and will understand each other even more.This is visible because inside they love each other and feel sad about what is happening but this lifestyle gives them no choice.Also they look so gorgeous it's sad that one piece of sofa and a fatigue crown separates them.💘💘💌💌

Honestly, Murad most stands out to me in that there were few other sultans as devoted to their mothers and in how that had to be balanced with his relationship with Safiye. Outside of that, he wasn't particularly "better" than his father outside of his lack of drinking and going out on campaigns...that lead to a lot of financial stress for the empire.

In his defence, he left that part of parenting up to his wife as he had to rule over: His relationship with GOD, the dynasty, Pashas, Aghas, judgment, laws, rules, everything, etc. He was yet human.

For those who say Hurrem was biased toward her son, she is not like that at all. After she realized, Suleiman was more prefer Selim as heir throne, so she tried to give the same support to Bayezid. As a mother, she did what she was supposed to do. None mother is willing to see one of their children neglected by father or family

It's was very cruel of Suleiman to have openly speak about his dream in front of Hurrem and Bayezid

Finally Hurrem saw the truth and the logic and she supported the son that he would be the proper Sultan. After all, Beyazid was much more good than Selim. And first of all, was Mustafa. Even Mehmet was good to be the Sultan. Selim wasn't the proper son of being the Sultan, because he was a drunkard. It is late for Hurrem to support Beyazid, her proper son to the throne, but she made the right option for one time, her only right decision about Beyazid's future. Because Beyazid's defeat would be only Selim's advantage. Finally this woman had been at Beyazid's place and saw that he was her son and thought that he was the only who could rule the empire one day and after all he was the most talented with swords, he had the warrior spirit and he had all the qualifications in order to be the next Sultan. However, his father, Syleiman, was so stupid and so narrow-brained and never understand about his son's advantages, qualifications, good education and capables of him. sometimes i dont get it why hurrem treats selim as not his son. He wishes to enthrone beyazid but appoints selim at manisa to save beyazid and throuhh selim in danger. Hurrem, Mihirmah, Rustum always look differently upon selim. If suleiman had a dream about murad only suleiman is happy and love everyone equally why hurrem and mihirmah was not happy? murad is her grandson also like all the sons of beyazid. She was willing to do what she had to in order to protect them. But as far as she was concerned actually picking a side would mean abandoning one of them. And as their mother she couldn't do that. And there may have been a different outcome had she lived.

No, in real history Suleiman wanted Mehmed as Padisah, but after his death he fully supported Selim. Hurrem’s position on throne issue is not known. She never favored one son over another.
