Over the past week, I visited Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett in Rüdesheim, Germany. I've wanted to go there for almost a decade, and I finally got the chance to go and get both a public and private tour of the museum. Throughout these visits, I was able to get some amazing videos of some of my favorite orchestrions, some of which have little to no documentation.
This video features a very special version of the Hupfeld Helios that includes a keyboard and is much smaller than other models of the Helios. Despite its smaller size, it still has a grandiose and cheerful sound that brings joy to listeners. Enjoy!
