Hey there ! Here in Norway, as a very new hunter, do you suggest hunting on small animals or big ones ? I've heard you shouldn't be going out and hunt for moose or big animals alone, but I'm a very experienced bushcrafter. I don't know yet wether to buy a rifle or a shotgun first :O

First of all you have to pass the Norwegian hunting exam. After this you have to get a licens to own a hunting weapon. Around 2-3 weeks time After that i would pick up a shotgun cal 12 And allround rifle 6.5x55 Swedish 308 win are great 3-12x56 is a good scope for most stuff in norway

May I ask what caliber you hunt with? As I see it, you don't really need to move your sights between 100 and 300 yards.

6,5 Creedmoor with a light and fast bullet. Hornady GMX 120 grain with 3000 fps speed.

Yes they normally do for sure. This was from a pack of 10 wolves and the ones inside the forest probably did not understand what happened out on the field and some wanted to check out what was going on.

In Norway you can shoot wolf.

is that an actual suppressor or some sort of fancy muzzle brake? We can not use them here because everyone knows suppressors automatically make the user a murderous sniper 🤮.....hope you had a great time in our great country. congrats on the wolves

It is a muzzle brake and it is also reducing the recoil and barrel movement.
