That made my old heart skip a beat. A favorite piece of advice for a new eagle falconer is "Do they have kids"? If the answer is yes, ask if they're fond of them.

@@bull-xtv There's so many things I I would like to do,but up top w/b to attend some kind of Weeks falconry course,!Now obviously ur limited to what I can learn,but it w/b a fascinating experience. .And I know there's a guy up in Northern Nevada(I live in Vegas)who Flys some birds.. Anyway keep at it&I hope u and ur Birds and Dogs stay well👍..ps..I always think of "Kes"when I see the Birds flying!

I'm no expert but I don't believe Golden Eagles hunt this way. They usually glide up up in the air and spot the animal from far away giving it enough time to plan an attack and get the right speed. Still seems like fun

these eagles are out of training, they have no explosion or vigor. They wouldn't even catch a cow.

These birds naturally hunt from a higher ground than what these are currently throwing them from.... what a big disadvantage this is aswell.

I was thinking similarly; these birds are really out of their element, no height advantage, and the hares are kind of small for them to hang onto, as well as being more maneuverable than these huge birds..Harris', Goshawks, much more of a match for hares...i wonder if these eagles could have been trained to wait on when after these small deer, it would be a much better match for their natural skills and 'weaponry'.

they're hunting game that usually would be too agile for an eagle/the eagle would never be attacking from that low/easily spotted position in real life. it weighs so much it can't change direction as easy. so it's at a huge disadvantage in this use case. youtube some hawks hunting rabbits. they're little homing missles

those eagles look so unfit, weekend falconers. Eagles are wasted if you only fly them from the fist. As for carrying a young child with an imprint eagle is an accident waiting to happen.
