It is a plus for your use of cameras to scout the area and keep scent down on your spot

Major point touched on for me was how SLOW big mature bucks move. It makes a lot of sense.

this season has been just brutal, in my area. right from the start of the season, the weather has been unreal, hurricane winds and rain mixed in. have never, ever seen the woods so wet and muddy. and the deer are just on complete lockdown, not moving AT ALL, even the does.

@@ExodusOutdoorGear british Columbia, Canada. the interior. just the last couple days, the skies have cleared and the winds aren't terrible. heading back out for a few days, to get the rest of october and the start of November. muley "any buck" is only for October, so just a couple days left. usually I don't pay attention to it, as i'm always chasing particular bucks, but, this season, I may have to put a small guy in the freezer, IF I can even find one of those. hard to find the bucks when the does are even hiding. our woods are heavily logged, so that affects everything, and, the pine beetle really did it's devastation years ago too, so, the woods aren't even walkable anymore, with deadfall everywhere, at all heights. good for the deer to hide, bad for going after them.

Do you think that the regular infrared flash spooks the deer? Does the black flash give you an advantage?

This is more of a Mule Deer question but hopefully you guys can lead me in the right direction. I’ve found some mature Bucks, mature sheds, and buck bedding in a certain area. The large concentrations of does is in a completely different area. Would you recommend that I set up in the area where I know they are, or closer to the Does in the coming weeks?

My problem with finding buck beds where I am it’s big woods public with hills. I find doe beds but I feel like bucks can bed so many different places where I hunt it’s hard to just lock down and hunt a so called “bedding area” I have scouted this area in particular and only find doe beds and have found some buck beds but they haven’t been well used buck beds. Should I hunt where I think a good bedding area is inbetween that and the largest and most concentrated scrapes??
