    Awesome collection Todd. Ya lets keep an open mind,The brits did this also,almost no 2 alike because parts were always updated and they used what they had. We should just enjoy them for what they are,and ride them because that's what they were built to do. Keep these vids coming cause we are all learning from you,most people would not share this info.

    Just Subed your Channel and cant stop watching , What a beautiful collection. I don't have a Harley but love the timeline and the Era long gone. My Dad had a Knucklehead with the side cart , He was a Policeman in the Late 40's Early 50s . I hope you are able to save your collection and this history stays here in US for generations to see and learn something of the past . Peace and Prosperity to you.

    Fantastic collection and channel. Sub'd up now. Been trying to educate myself on everything I never asked my gramps. Getting ready to start poking around his Knuckle, a 1945 EL ... original paint I believe (not positive) but he rebuilt it a number of times over the years. Hopin to track down the bits and bobs that I'm sure are stored away.

    Why did they have offset springers Todd?

  • @HuntingHarleys

    @HuntingHarleys

    10 жыл бұрын

    throughout Knuckle production, Harley continually "updated" the angle of the rake for better handleing, finally coming out with the offset springer in mid 1946. This 'offset' is still used in production today.

    What does new old stock means ?? Original parts but new or new parts build like old original.. And i do like the red one it is a very nice bike.

  • @HuntingHarleys

    @HuntingHarleys

    10 жыл бұрын

    NOS, short for New Old Stock, correct used, means Original parts from the factory manufacturer that are brand new and never been mounted on a machine.

  • @Grumpyoldbiker

    @Grumpyoldbiker

    10 жыл бұрын

    But beware... ;') My friend Hildo once got a small NOS part for a WLC or WLA. In the box, never opened. This was say five years ago. So he opened the box and discovered it was stuffed with a 1943 newspaper only. Obviously some less patriotically inclined individual had been pilfering parts. The paper had an advertisement for 'catsup' and that is how we discovered people used to spell ketchup differently in earlier days. Now this was some cheap stuff, but if you want to collect mint-in-box NOS parts you better have the expensive ones X-rayed before buying..

    Geert de Jonge that is why you see me opening a war boxed NOS speedo in one of the videos. Just because the box has never been opened does not mean something is inside

I cant afford the bikes but i would use your word for study just in case . Keep up the great job and do it your way!
