I was just there at Ft Myers Beach last week, right where you were! I found lots of shells, nothing large but tiny and mini and medium ones so beautiful! Enjoyed sun and sound of the waves. Watched that same truck hauling sand. Had a great time! Spent a couple of days on Sanibel and supported the local economy too. Beautiful beaches still. Hurt my heart to see all the destruction, but like you said signs that recovery is continuing. Such a wonderful relaxing time I desperately needed! ❤to all working toward restoring what was destroyed.

Thank you so much for coming to our beat up islands! We're getting a little bit better each day 😃
I just want to thank you for your channel. I've been in a wheelchair since I was 21 and 4 months pregnant with my son from flying 60ft out the passenger windshield. My seat belt didn't work but since the vehicle flipped 5 times my side took all the damage so we wouldn't even be here right now even though my son is also in a wheelchair because he has cerebral palsy. It's hard for me to even get to the beach anymore and I always loved it even managing to survive a riptide I somehow knew to let my body float down the beach even if I had to walk a mile back to my cousin who didn't notice my absence. I just love nature that much so again thank you!

I've had a bit of practice finding shells, but sometimes they are just harder to find than other times. I always seem to find something interesting out there!
Thank you Sharmon, I love a good shell hunt but especially a tiny shell hunt. I hope you have a great week!
Hello Beach Angel! I've been waiting for you! I wanted to be number one this time and I AM! It's so sad to see Ian's handiwork and know that people's beach dreams were dashed to pieces. I know how bad that can hurt, since I'm a Northwest Florida girl. Maybe they'll rebuild, like a friend who had lost his beach house and said, "It's okay, I still own the land." Tiny Day! Hurray! I love the tinies! Boy, I couldn't do that much bending over. Ever since I broke my back in '89, bending over for even a few minutes causes intense pain. I'd be the "I'll stay right here at this shell pile" kind of sheller. Who knows what might be buried in there? Such pretty little shells! That little lace murex is precious! So is the tiny hermit crab! Great day! You're finding so many beautiful little shells! Wentletraps, too?! Wow! And a Tusk!! A dwarf olive? Don't recall you mentioning one of those before. Another wentletrap! This makes you wonder what you've walked past while picking up larger shells, doesn't it? Treasure isn't always big, I guess. Maybe you need tweezers! A newborn baby's ear! That dolphin is the coolest thing so far! I played ball for a half hour with a dolphin at the Gulfarium in Ft. Walton Beach. I was walking along and a ball landed at my feet. I picked it up, wondering where it came from. Then I got splashed and I saw a dolphin rising up over the edge of his tank. I asked if it was his ball and he splashed me again. I threw the ball back and he caught it and threw it to me again! We kept it up until a trainer came by and told me he'd do that all day if I'd play with him. I stopped after a while because someone else wanted to play. Cool memory! You had a really nice day, love! Looking forward to your next video! I'm the only one who shared this video with you from start to finish! Yes! Love to all from Rebecca The Lost Mermaid

Hi Sharmon! How fun was this, looking for pretty little tinies! I do love the wentle traps. There is something so satisfying about their appearance. I only wish they came bigger but perhaps it would be cool to make a necklace of all wentle traps. I was amazed that you found tusk shells. They were plentiful and used by native American people of the past here in the Pacific Northwest. I had no idea they can be found along Gulf beaches and the East coast too. By the way, I'm really glad you kept that second brown and white broken moon snail shell. It looks like a cinnamon roll! I think my favorite for the day was the tiny hinged spiny jewel box. I wonder....is it big enough to contain a single pearl? God bless and have a great week.
