Hunting Chamois & Tahr (Film 5) | South Westland, New Zealand
A late February 2020 tahr and chamois hunt in South Westland, New Zealand. After three days of hunting and plenty of animals seen, we manage to take a nice bull measuring over 13".

Forgot to ask - how did the bushbuck packs go, I a assuming they were the 36l one?
might be a silly question, but did you eat the meat, if its an old bull it would be tough right?

These Tahr and Chamois are both introduced species, they cause massive erosion and ecological damage to the habitat that they live in. New Zealands Department of Conservation have an active culling program (thousands of animals) to deal with this, and hunters are an active part of this. So yes we still HAVE to hunt.
