Good stuff Shaun , the films are looking better and better. Ordinarily that lake would have seemed huge but I just got back from a session in Spain on the Ebro which is just colossal as are the Cats in it. I enjoy your attention to watercraft in the content and understanding an environment, some channels seem to treat every venue as if it's the same pond. I think there's so many super technical end tackle and bait channels which are great but actually getting to grips with what's happening underwater is certainly really useful for beginners and something all of us can never learn enough about. Yeah just wanted to say thanks really mate, for making the effort, not editing out the blanks and for giving me a laugh with yours and Hugh's banter. I actually really like the easy listening jazz as a backdrop to your monologues by the way. Anyways Be lucky , others have said tight lines , so I'll go with sharp hooks ey.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you like the videos. We try and share as much information as we can, without making it to much like a tutorial style video. We just want to show what we do, but add a bit of cinematography to the edit making it flow and watchable. The blanks feature as I think other anglers need to know it’s normal to blank, we don’t always get it right! The blanks make the catches even more rewarding. Be lucky 👍
Well happy to see all your effort with these vids starting to pay off dudes. Tight lines, hope to see ya on the bank sometime :)

Great vlog mate, i have only fished Bradleys once before on a charity match and was lucky enough to get a real dark mirror although only a mid double and i think that swim is now someone's back garden lol, this vlog has inspired me to have a trip there again and its only 10 minutes from my house. take care mate and tight lines.

Awesome mate, glad to inspire some fishing 👍 it’s a nice venue, will return for sure.
Nice film. Here’s a really really really good tip that will transform your angling if you absorb it. Forget the weather, forget the conditions. Find them. Then fish.

100% but when you only have the weather to go off, as the lakes are busy then you can only go with what you have.
Great vid was fishing their last weekend Bradleys fish also like singles tigers with corn tip or double boilles had loads of carp from there mate with no spod mix at all chods work well pva bags with pop ups few tips if you can fish at 28 wraps from that swim or old lake as it was before it was expanded or green bank where portaloo is 33 wraps and you need to find 15ft some parts are 20ft next swim 19 to 21 wraps out Gate 1 Sail club side nearest is 11 wraps out and 21 wraps then from Gate to the right swims 30 wraps out little bait plus it's the shallow part of bradleys hope it helps you next time

Geeeez!! That’s some mega time. I’ve heard so many different things about the place. Some say it’s hard, others say there catchable if you get on them. It was a different lake back in 2004 though, nice work 👍

What sorta using time you get off those rode go’s off one single charge?
@TheFishingBloggers
Жыл бұрын
An hour or so, I take a power pack to top it up. They drain fast too be honest as there so small.
Just a quick question, do you clip your spod rod shorter than the normal rods? Or is it not too much to worry about? Some people do it some people dont
@TheFishingBloggers
Жыл бұрын
I think it can vary depending on the depth, weather conditions, type of venue etc. over 10ft I tend to start adjusting the length of the rods to account for a longer swing back on the drop. I don’t clip my spod short as that’s what I use to find the spot im fishing, so this needs to remain the same length otherwise I would be baiting short of the spot. I add extra onto my fishing rods to account for the swing back under a tight line in the drop.

Depending on line tbh i use flurocarbon and hardly any stretch but a mono will be more stretchy
Looks absolutely beautiful how big do they go in there ??

Over 40, but I don’t know the exact stock. Kinda like it that way as it’s a big old pit and makes it more exciting if you do get a bite!

Ever consider putting baits in those very attractive looking margins .?

Yea I baited up a marginal area but never saw anything visit it and the bait wasn’t touched. Shame really as it’s easier than fishing out in the pond!

@@TheFishingBloggers hi thanks for reply Love your down to earth content ! Having resumed fishing again after a 40 year break I find it strange with the near obsession with distance fishing & the sheer volume of bait that now goes in Might explain the size of modern carp !! But the biggest difference for me is the modern carbon rods,,,,,,,,,in my day it was fibreglass that would bend double when playing a decent carp
They die the water to keep the weed down it’s a fantastic lake but very hard
